pretty well balanced apa, maybe even leaning a little nutty/sweet malt heavy. not my favorite or close to it, but a drinkable copper colored brew. ok.

Thanks buddy for bringing this back home- deep golden colour, slightly orange. Mega malt on the nose, some carmel. Big hops- a bit unabalanced- apple and bready notes near the finito. I must be missing somethign with this beer.

Pours real mellow golden haze yellow. The nose has a biscuit smell. Smooth sip, balanced. Not too hoppy. More of a sweetness in the sip. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.

well i am a fan of the cascade lakes brewing company, but i feel that they should have gone a little further with this beer! it does have potential. it poured a hazy gold color with little white head. i like the roasty chocolate malt and the good balance hops! not to much aroma~ i dig the surfing rooster.

NorCal tasting Jan 07 -First time here with Cascade Lakes. Hadn't heard of 'em but was looking forward to something new. Aroma had a wet tea character to it. Some oranges and there was a hop aroma but it wasn't anything you don't find in a hundred other beers. Appearance was a deep gold, a little hazy with a small head. Taste was nicely balanced between the malt and hops, with a small amount of bready/yeast flavor. Easy to drink I guess would sum this up the best.

This beer calls itself a Golden Ale. As such it's not bad. As a Pale it's not nearly as good. Pours a cloudy gold with a decent head that leaves behind a respectable lace. Smells weak. There's a hint of oranges and hops. Tastes okay. Quite malty, actually, with a definate hop presence but not enough to balance it. There's some serious citrus flavors but they're muddled with a bready taste. Mouthfeel is creamy. Drinkability is pretty good as it's not offensive at all. The more I think about it the more it reminds me of a subdued Lagunitas #10. Granted, that's the last beer I had before this one, but I can't help but to note the similarities. This isn't nearly as fruity but they're quite similar.

Medium gold color, medium head. A medium bodied golden ale. Fairly malty and somewhat hoppy. Lots of flavor. Bit of a hop bite for a golden ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. A little bit over carbonated.

The beer is a slightly hazy, deep golden colour. Small pure white head, minimal laceing. Not a strong aroma..I can detect some hops but not much going on. Tastes actually like a slightly hoppy Golden Ale rather than a Pale..good malt and hop balance, but the hoppiness swings it in the end. Very nice on the palate..good. Quite a quaffable ale on tap..I hear its not so good in the bottle.
