Pours barely translucent ruby-sable with a nice light tan head. Toasty malt aroma has a yeasty overtone and a hint of molasses. Flavor is definitely roast malt, with less yeast and more molasses plus a touch of coffee. Mouthfeel has OK body and good fizz. Reach for this star.

Very dark brownish/black with ruby showing when held to the light. A tan head that was virtually non-existent. Left only a trace of lacing on the glass. Subdued coffee notes and only small amounts chocolate. Some roasted and toasty malts are present, but they seem to be rather light on the nose. Just small, minute hints of some dark fruit. The taste is like the aroma in a lot of ways. Coffee and chocolate with some toastiness, however they are, once more, rather tame. It's not bad, but just not enough "oomph" for me. As it warmed, the dark fruits came through a bit more and it got a bit chalky. Medium mouthfeel that was smooth and crisp on the palate. Mostly dry, but I would have liked for it to be a bit dryer. Left a little on the palate, but it wasn't as good as some others I've had. As it warmed, it became more thin. This is another Porter that i think would be great for introducing someone to the style. It's not overpowering. It has all the flavors, but they are just toned down. It's easily drinkable and it's sessionable. It's just ok for me. I wouldn't turn it down. It's mostly average in my opinion.

Pours with a dark brown to black body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s roasty and malty with a slight sweetness, a slight coffee note (not so evident in the aroma) and a very slight touch of dark fruit (which comes through as slightly rotten in the aroma). Full bodied, smooth and a touch warming.

Where to start on this one. Very dark, chocolatly color with an almost insignificant head. Extremely grassy aroma. Taste was highly astringent. I can taste the components of munich and chocolate malts, but this beer needs some work. This should never have been bottled.

Ran out of clean glasses so I'm going straight from the bottle with this one. No idea what color it is, but it looks pretty dark through the mouth. Can't detect much in the way of aroma. Mouthfeel is tinny and tangy with a solid tongue bite. Flavor seems a bit weak and watery considering the style.

Pours a deep mahogany brown with a nice brown head that does fade away after time. Has a nice lacing around the rim of the glass. Has a nice chocolate/coffee aroma. The taste is nice and flavorful with the chocolate and toffee and a smooth malty finish Pretty decent porter.

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is light with a hint of coffee. Mouthfeel is thin and unimpressive. Flavor of coffee, but not much else. Overall, an average beer.

Bottle. Poured a dark, clear, brownish-maroon color with almost no head. Very light coffee aroma. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and malt, although sort of watered down. Coffee aftertaste. Nothing special.

Dark brown with a timid, fleeting head. The aroma is a bit sharp, roasty, a little chocolate. The same follows into the flavor with a little toasted bread flavor in the middle. Not a bad porter, although slightly metallic toward the end.
