A dark brown colored beer with a healthy sized, frothy textured, light beige head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head. It settles into a big ringlet and persistent cap. Nose is a bit light. But the tasting robust notes of caramel, roasted malt and chocolate. A bit too light bodied but creamy on the tongue.

Not a bad beer, my wife got this and i got their oktoberfest, and i like this one alot more. A bit light, and watery would be my biggest knock on it, but it was nice and creamy, great lace. Flavors of toasted bready malts with a touch of fruitiness, and a bit o chocolate. Overall a decent brew. At the Pearland, Tx location.

surprised with the low grades here. while there are better porters out there, i liked it better than the stout (which i gave a 3.2). more flavor, roasted mocha, touch of hops. not bad.

I was disappointed with this one. Dark brown body with a thin head and not really much lacing. Roasted malt flavor with some smoked caramel but it is a bit watery and thin. Goes down easy enough but leaves me wanting quite a bit more.

I love the idea of a nitrogenated porter, but I was expecting a little more. Don't get me wrong. This is a good beer, but it was a little too thin and sweet for me. Its color is a beautiful black and it sports a thick creamy head. I smell roasted malt and hints of cola and cocoa. The mouthfeel is too thin, though (I was expecting the nitrogen cream of a Guinness). The taste is of sweet roasted grain, but it is on the watery side. Overall, just OK.

Aside from the IPA I had during lunch, this was the 2nd best beer I had. An aroma of fresh brown sugar, chocolate, and light roasted malts (perhaps even burnt toast). Appearance was a dark cola brown, clear with some reddish/brown edges with an off-white thick creamy head (not sure if they use nitro or not, but it looked like it). Really watery mouthfeel, which was unfortunate. Flavors were very subtle but still enjoyable. Roasted malts, brown sugar with some chocolate and caramel present. If they could get a creamier mouthfeel, they'd really be on to something. Nice beer though.

Pours a dark, but clear, red, black from a distance. The nitro head is cream colored and creamy. Nitro as usual deadens the flavor and aroma and gives a slightly sour twang in the back, but this is a fairly fruity porter.

In the description of this beer it says "surprisely smooth" ...BOOM ...right on target..a smooth kinda thin but enjoyable porter...a beginners 4 sure...roastiness is nice and amazing lacing...good ample head too...a lower end porter but just right for a novice!

Dark black color. A light to medium bodied porter. Roasted malts, Chocolate and caramel flavors. Very smooth taste (nitro conditioned). Milder flavor. Mouthfeel is full, but perhaps a little thin for a porter. Finish is smooth and rather dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Had this @ the BJ's in Irvine, CA. It has a *nice* flavor, but it's a very light bodied porter. This brew lacked depth. It would be an ok session beer.
