Clear pale yellow, white lacing foam head. Typical weak aroma for this style and taste. OK for purpose, but not the quality anticipated. (Vienna 201611)

Pours a clear watered down amber with noticeable bits floating around. Aroma is very malty with some lemon. Taste is so malty I could make cereal with it. Nothing much else in the flavor. Very dry aftertaste. Not good.

Wanted to try a new import, so bought on clearance for half off. Refreshing I guess.....not much doing though. Aroma seemed semi-skunky, but could be the age of the bottle. Flavor is a bit grassy, also tasted cornish....a little hop at the end which actually seemed like the best quality of this brew. Not something I would really care to try or buy again.

330ml bottle -
When the thought process of consuming this beer is, is it crisp, is it clean w/o any off flavors, the answer was yes. Baby powder-sweet nose with some light hay/straw (very light). Malty in a french-bready kind of way, but really light in the flavor. Hint of metal with a crisp finish. Just seems to quench the thirst nicely, and for $2.00 a bottle a really nice beer. -

330 ml bottle as " Zipfer Heller ". Poured a clear pale gold colored beer with a thin white foamy head that had no retention. Active carbonation. More or less no lacing. The aroma is light sweety grainy malts, herbal hops. The flavour is light sweety malts, slight herbal hops. The mouthfeel is slight crispy and a bit watery. This medium bodied beer has a slight bitter finish. Not bad but an average beer.

It was about what I've come to expect from a decent Euro brew. There was none of the requisite skunkiness that seems to accompany a lot of Euro brews that I've sampled. Nice golden color, nice touch of hops, slight head and good lacing. A nice beer.

Sample from 330 ml bottle, simply called "Zipfer", at the Brewery International stand, Smak 09. ABV is 5.4%. Golden colour, low head. Fairly clean pilsener aroma and flavour, notes of German hops. Reasonably bitter aftertaste.

Canned. Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma is slightly bready and sweet malty with some hints of grass and hay. Flavour is malty and hoppy, and that's pretty much it. Pleasant balance, but not very special.

A littlebit of nutty, sweet aftertaste, almost no top, nice golden color. Taste is usual lager, a little bit bitter, but still nice. Average ion every way...

Nice. Real good lager. It is drinkable with big pleasure. I can recommend it for all delicate and light beer lovers. This beer is one more big plus for Austrian brewers.
