One more cheap beer brewed by Van Pur in Poland but strangely not indicated in its website. Something "special" for Lithuania? Or Baltics? Being frank, very average Polish brew. Deep malty aroma with metallic scents; pours in rich yellow colour with large foam impression that fades away immediately leaving some few lacing strips. Goes watery with rich malty expression, slight mettalic tips and little oily, average rich palate. Solidly expressed malty flavour, some spicy and sweetish sugary tips, some bitterish and yeasty notes. Drinkable, enough solid brew, still nothing special to enjoy.

Found in Finland, in a way to Pori. Eagerness to find something special and nice label with cuckoo bird attracted me very much. Goes nice reddish copper colour with very weak foam (I would give much more points for appearance if the it had more solid head). Finely pleasant fruity and juniper aroma, with nice malty expression. Medium watery in a mouth, roundy and intense. Has rich malty flavour, with specific fruit expression (some wild berries...), some nice hoppy and caramel notes. Very pleasantly drinkable, solid and smooth, and is exceptional, for sure. Really worth to try.

A small originally looking bottle found in Stockholm (Sweden). Goes pale yellowish coulour with weak soft foam fading rapidly with few lacing strips left on the glass. I've felt smooth hoppy aroma, with some corny hints - would be good if expressed more clearly. Kind of watery in a mouth with some oily feeling and acidic ticks. Flavour is rather faded and unexpressed, has weak malty taste with some vague hoppy feeling, a little flowery expression can be also felt. But still has kind of pure and light freshness that makes it drinkable (but only perfectly cooled). Nice try, but no reason for a second one.

Pretty new brew by Ragutis in Horn family. And, as far as I remember, first strong Horn lager. For sure I am not a stron lagers' fan and very rarely any of them can satisfy me. But still Horn Strong is rather pleasantly drinkable and has no that irritating alcohol domination so common for Lithuanian strong lagers. Fresh malty aroma with some caramel traces, clear light amber coloured brew with white bubbly forma of average thickness. Rather dry in a mouth, intense and medium to full bodied. Goes intensely malty with a wide range of spices: some black bread, chocolate and caramel taste. The flavour is pretty balanced, strong alcohol concentration is perfectly covered by pleasant malty expression and short but intense hint of hops at the end. Has smooth and soft malty-hoppy aftertaste. It is very solid brew, intense in flavour, so after 0.33 it becomes somehow harsh, but that first part goes with great pleasure. This brew gives me a chance to enjoy strong lagers. Recommended.

Average Czech pilsener. Pours light amber (golden) colour, has some weak white head fading away fastly. Corny aroma (strangly reminds non-alcoholic beers) with some malty and flowery expression. Weak and rather dry in a mouth, leaves oily palate, goes somehow acidic. Malty flavour with some hops feeling, clear corny notes. Leaves sour and slightly malty aftertaste. Drinkable, but nothing special. Many other Czech pilseners are remarkably better.
