What's up Bock? For a buck a bottle of decent bock bier this has been one of the more impressive Yuengling offerings so far. Amber brown body with a thin whispy light tan head and decent lacing. Mildly sweet and subtly rich. Underlying toffee and doughnut with a nutty grassy after taste. Light to medium bodied, fun to imbibe. Great value beer, will look forward to this every year.

A dark brown appearance with a white head. The aroma contains some chocolate and toffee. The flavor is rather bland with some more chocoalte and caramel. The palate is rather thin. Overall ok for the price

pours a pale mahogany with a small off-white head leaving light lace. The aroma is sweet, a little caramel, nice fresh bread. The taste is nicely balanced, nice hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is light, dry. Drinkability is good, tasty bock, full flavor but light and balanced.

I enjoyed this old goat. It gives me a feeling of yester year. Especially the bitter bite on the back. Used as a specialty taste in the Spring ....it makes a fine companion at the beach or while playing chess.

I like bocks, bocks like me. This is one bock that was mediocre at best. A clear reddish-brown pour is topped by a medium sized off-white head, more bubbly than creamy. The aroma is plums, caramel malts, and some grass. The flavour was sweetened grass and a bitter end.

Poured a red to brown with white head. Malty nose The mouth feel was much like Y's lager. A nice sweetness camr through that complemented the Italian sausage I was grilling. Would I buy again? maybe although I have had more interesting bocks

June 2009 - On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings while out to a special dinner with my eldest offspring. Dark hickory pour with white frothy head which actually left some nice lacing. The flavor was a bit watery and not the strongest flavor beer I’ve ever had. There was a distinct bitterness in this one to give it a bit of character. I only had it because I haven’t seen it in bottles yet, so I figured this was my chance to try it. I don’t feel a particularly strong need to go back.

Better than the regular yuengling lager, but nothing special. A little bit of a letdown for a bock. I still like the porter and black and tan better. A buddy let me try one at a poker game, so I didn't get to drink it out of a glass...but assuming its an amberish color with medium head/carbonation. Based on this single sample, don't think I would buy this to try again.

Pours a clear deep amber with a thinning head and lazy lacing. Some carbonation. Toasted malts, some bread, some lemongrass in the aroma. Taste is same as the aroma with an easy-to-drink quality that is appealing. Nice bock.

A murky reddish brown colored beer. A big light tannish head rises above. Some hang time. Settling eventually into a light lacing. The aroma is subtle malt and grassy hops. A light medium bodied beer with a good amount of carbonation. The tasting follows the nose, pretty much, malt, grassy hops and some spices. Can be a pretty good session beer.
