A creamy, flavorful Amber that's smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from the use of Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Magnum bittering hops provide soft bitterness, while Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.

Pours an inviting golden amber with a fairly decent white head. Aroma is more fruity than malty and just slightly sweet with a whisper of hops. Flavor is fruity and malty, subtly sweet and subtly hoppy, very enjoyable. Texture is fairly fizzy and smooth. A good one.

Like many ambers, this is a purely average beer. Really nothing to set it apart from others of the same style; slightly sweet with just a trace of hop bitterness in the finish. Forgettable.

Was disappointed with this amber beer. Beer pours an amber color with a nice white foamy head. Aroma of malts and hops. Flavor is somewhat malty and biter with a sweet taste in the end. An okay beer.

Pours out little red brown .. . watery in the mouth but smooth .. . basically a fat tire clone, but not quite there .. . very light foam .. light light sweet maple, and muddled dough .. . decent but forgettable .. where do you live ? no, what planet..?

A solid performer of the type, but nothing really stands out. The color, aroma, mouthfeel and flavor are pretty standard-fare. A drinkable beer with a nice hoppiness, balanced malt and slightly less than sweet feel. But still average.

Poured a medium amber with thick head and light lacing. The aroma as well as the flavor were malty with hints of sweetness. There was a mild finish and no after taste. Overall this was a good non offensive amber that would make a good choice to introduce a beer novice to the world of good beer.

This was a great tasting amber. Awesome amber color, decent white head, little to no lacing, excellent taste. The smell of this amber will catch you off guard. It's almost fruiting. This aroma is complimented by the great flavor and smooth finish. I detected hints of apricot. This is right up there with my favorites.

about what I expected from Widmer. Nothing great but drinkable. Pours a nice amber, with a good white foamy head. A little laceing. The nose is sweet and floral. Mouth feel is watery.Taste is smooth but nothing realy distinguses it from any other average amber.

Amber body, off white cap that leaves decent lace. Aroma and flavor has some caramel malts, a little on the watery side but not too bad, easy to drink, not overpowering. Overall a decent amber.

Deep amber/orange colored ale. On pour a moderate frothy white head. Settles fairly quickly into a soapy ring. Subtle sweetness and not much else in the aroma. The body has a smoothness but somewhat watery. Subtle mix of malt and floral hops with a metallic aftertaste. Drinkable but nothing to write home about.
