This was a great tasting amber. Awesome amber color, decent white head, little to no lacing, excellent taste. The smell of this amber will catch you off guard. It's almost fruiting. This aroma is complimented by the great flavor and smooth finish. I detected hints of apricot. This is right up there with my favorites.

This is the only porter I've ever had. I was impressed with the whole presentation - aroma and appearance. The taste was ok too, but it was just too filling for my taste. I would try it again.

I hadn't heard great things about this beer but I was pleased with it. Good aroma, tiny white head that faded quickly, great flavor, bitter aftertaste. I'd drink it again.

This was a good brown ale. It doesn't compete with Newcastle in my book, but it's good. It was awesomely smooth with a nice, strong taste and without a powerful aftertaste. Good beer.

After hearing so many good things about this beer from people claiming to be "beer snobs" I had high expectations. To be honest I was a bit let down. Nothing against this beer because it's good, but it did not meet my expectations. I found it carried an overly bitter taste. The aroma, appearance, and taste were good, just overrated.
