Bottled@Fonefan (thanks for the bottle omhper!). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is alcohol, raisins, toffee, soap and some mild spices. Flavour is hops, spices, some alcohol as well as mild birch sap. Probably needs a bit of aging, since it felt a bit strong, sharpedged and alcoholic.

Smells of fruit and hearth with massive oak and vanilla tones. Pours a very nice reddish brown with a great white creamy head. Another amazing carbonation and body from this brewery. Top notch. This is one of the most interesting and complex beers I have ever had. Huge Plum and rasins and vanilla. But what really stud out was the buttery complexity. I really thought I was drinking an highly oaked Merlot. This was stunning.

My friend Rob is a huge Unibroue fan and brought this little nugget of goodness over to my apartment one day. It sat in the fridge for a couple of weeks, until tonight were we were thirsty and had to take on the 17.
The beer poured out into the glass had a cloudy, dark brown color with reddish highlights when held up to the light. The head was slightly off-white and about a finger thick, but had an amazing retention and left some light lacing on the side of the glass. You don't have to work hardk to pick up on the aroma which was full up brown bread, plums, figs, and a slight hint of alcohol.
The beer is excellent to drink with a hearty carbonation level when first poured. The flavor has a great spiciness to it that, mixed with the carbonation, dances around on your tongue. Mixed in with the spices are some slight sour notes on top of a bed of roasted malts and dark fruit. This definitely is a winter warmer as your throat immediately warms up upon having a sip.
Another stellar job by the folks at Unibroue in the never ending collection of high alcohol brews. Keep up the great work! -

This beer was one of several provided by bluesandbarbq that served to enhance my family's holiday celebrations; merci beaucoup et joyeuses fêtes! Poured a deep ruby color, cloudy, with a cascade of miniscule bubbles. The dense bubbly off-white head resulted in good lacing. Medium-bodied and well balanced. Pungent plum and spice aromas; taste was lightly bitter and spicy with a long, mellow bittersweet fruity finish.

Yummy, Yummy Yummy! Full and very soft, creamy mouthfeel. The first taste is of some spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, a touch of pepper (which comes out a lot in the finish). This gives way to some fruity notes: apples and bannanas. There is a hint of chocolate in there too. Kind of iced tea colored, with a super soft and frothy head that leaves a film all over the glass. Clean and refreshing finish. This is a very tasty beer, but in all honesty, is nothing short of the fabulousness that I expect from this brewery.

Bottle from State Line. The pour was deep orange-brown, hazy-cloudy, huge typical highly carbonated U head and ringed lacing. The aroma was wonderful, sawdust, sprtizy notes of lemon-lime, oranges, coriander, root-beerish spicing. The flavor followed the aroma, chocolate and dark fruits mixed in lightly, yeast faint for the U, yet still present. Mouthfeel was airy-full, carbonated. A pretty nice brew, although the spicing did turn a bit too strong w/ some annoying cinnamon-like character eventually.

Brown pour with red highlights and a foamy white head. Aroma contained brown sugar and cherries. The flavor was rich dark cherries and other fruit, some toasty brown sugar and a hint of chocolate. Another good offering from Unibroue.
