*One-off release for 2006 Canadian Federal Election - Liberal Party* Despite years of heavily subsidized advertising, this red lager has not been able to attract a majority of followers. A robust body enhanced with a delicate red hue produces a full-bodied flavour with a noticeable lingering aftertaste. Lib Red is an excellent accompaniment to crow, or any other foods that need a lot of cooking. Strangely, Lib Red has found acceptance in very expensive restaurants.

" bottle: Pours a dark cola-red with a fair off- white cap that has modest retention...some lacing. Aromas of caramalt over a distinct vegital tone....wierd! Tastes better than it smells medium bodied chewy texture. Malty, toasty sweet, some cocoa then this God-awful veggy taste....I think its the hops trying to make an appearance but it tastes and smells like celery..weird!"

Poured utterly and completely Flat. No bubbles even. The all too familiar syropy mouthfeel. Flavour is unfavourable with no complexity. I can't find any strengths to this beer. I couldn't enjoy it. Far too flat, no aroma and generally distastful...
