Pours out extremely dark brown with a nice tan head. The aroma is of roasted malt and coffee. The mouthfeel is good and thick. The taste is smooth and just slightly sweet. Overall a very good Porter.

Deep black colored beer with a big frothy textured beige colored head rising above. There's good hang time on the head and thick fluffs are left. A burnt caramelization in nose. More of that, molassess and roasted malt in the tasting. Light medium bodied. Easy to drink.

Rich aroma has notes of caramel, molasses and roast quality coffee with a touch of licorice. It pours an opaque warm sable just a couple whiskers above black and a fairly thick and fluffy light tan head. Flavor has good smoky, molasses, coffee and caramel notes. Dusty texture has slightly above average body but not a whole lot of fizz. This one is worth sniffing out.

Only my second experience with the Thirsty Dog, both compliments of Kinger, and the first was Siberian Night so I have high standards. This is no Siberian Night but a nice roasty beer that is very much reminscent of a sessionalbe english dry stout. Very clean and well done, easy to drink and really nothing wrong with it at all.

Sampled from bottle, courtesy of Kinger. Pours dark with an impressive head; thick lacing. The aroma combines molasses sweetness against black coffee and dark cocoa notes. The flavor is roasty and incredibly dry. Rich and satisfying yet clean. Medium bodied and smooth. A delicious porter.

This was a good porter, dark pour, the chocolate came out nicely i think. That taste was good , it was full and had a nice taste to it. I shall recommend a try of this beer.

This beer poured dark with a nice khaki head that went quickly. Upon smelling, one notices caramel, chocolate, and coffee. These aromas are repeated as one tastes and breathes deeply. This smooth beer did confuse me with a slight taste at the end that I can't quite put my finger on. Any ideas?

Pours a deep black brown with a thinnish tan head and some lacing. Aromas of sweet and toasted malts, a touch of molasses, some cocoa and coffee and hops. Taste is smooth with the sweet roasted malts upfront followed by a bit of coffee and chocolate and some hops in the easy finish.

Pours with a frothy, initially two-finger thick, brownish tinged, tan colored head. The beer sits in my glass with a blackish, very dark brown color, but shows some clear, concentrated amber / red notes around the edges. Aromatic notes of sweet, blackened, but not quite burnt caramelized malt sugars, touches of espresso, and ample chocolate-like malt notes are found in the nose. the chocolate notes really start to come out after a bit of time, but always there is a backdrop of well roasted coffee and a burnt fruit character.
Fairly dry tasting, but there is a solid fruit character here of slightly burnt figs and roasted raisins. There is a certain tartness here from the roasted grain character, which also accentuates the fruit notes. The beer is a touch thin as it could use a touch more malty richness. The beer finishes with only a hint of hop bitterness, but it does have a solid, burnt grain bitterness / astringency that provides a structure and balance for the malt and fruit notes. The fruit and light acidity almost give this beer a vinous quality. This is an enjoyable brew, though I expected it to be a bit more rich than it was.
