Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8
8.9% ABV- Reminds me of a lighter barleywine...especially in flavor. Since it is an imperial, does not have that lightness in feel that a normal 5-6% pilz brings. Flavors stand out more, some piney and citrus dry-hopped with barley and wheat in the grain dept. Solid 8's all around. Think I got on clearance or price was wrong, cause for $3 a bomber, I would get this all the time.

Pours with an orange-gold body topped by a thin to medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a note of spice and butterscotch as well as a slight bitter grassiness. The aroma is lacking. Medium bodied, smooth yet warming.

Bottle courtesy of Unclemattie: Poured a cloudy copper/amber color with a light foamy head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of sweet malt kind of took me by surprise with some dry hops. Taste is dominated by some sweet malt almost reminiscent of a barleywine with a dry hoppy finish which clash with the malt profile. Body is quite full with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I didn’t like the mix between the sweet malt and the hops and it is not something I would wish to try again.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden color with a thick white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Really nice mouthfeel. Flavor is really sweet, with an almost cider-like taste to it. Alcohol present in the aftertaste. I'm usually not a fan of these imperial pilseners, but this one is pretty nice.

This beer is a transparent dark golden amber. The strong aroma has a heavy fruity overtone, making it smell more like a cider than a beer. Flavor is more fruity than malty, rather like apple juice with a nice alcohol bite, rather like a good hard cider. Smooth and a little bitter, not outstanding but refreshing.

This pours an opaque golden color with a one finger white head. The aroma is mainly grassy. The flavor starts out slightly malty sweet but finishes dry and bitter with some lemony flavors. It's a thirst quencher and very easy drinking.

The aroma starts hoppy with bitter present with slight malt with notes of some spice and is very dry hoppy floral-like. The appearance is nice and is a slightly cloudy, dark yellow with a nice head on top that is bubbly and remains and coats the glass nicely and is creamy. The mouthfeel is light to medium-bodied and pretty complex with a nice wet pallet with unforgiving hoppy balance. The flavor is extremely bitter and very hoppy with some malt with signatures of grapefruit characteristics with a finish that is wet as well as complex and very bitter. Overall, this one has some notes of lemon as well with quantities of bitter with a smooth mouthfeel that is relatively refreshing but takes some getting use to. This one also has alcohol burn present and, bottomline, is an intense hop bitter beer. A hop-head's delight, this one is.

More or less clear gold with smallish white head that laces nicely. Pretty dry malt. Grassy hops. Lingering bitterness. Doesn’t really taste all that big. In fact, it doesn’t taste like more than an Americanized, aggressive pilsner of normal strength. I’m not sure how they hide 8% ABV in a beer this dry. Pretty impressive brewing prowess.

This was a pretty good imperial pils. A dark yellow appearance with a moderate head. The aroma is rather grassy with a hint of citrus fruit. The flavor is quite bitter with some hay and a hint of lemons. The finish is rather dry. Another good one from Terrapin.
