Malts: German Pils and Carapils Hops: Amarillo, Saaz, Hersbrucker and Tettnang We call this beer an Uber Pils - a pilsner style bock lager. Rich, malty, and well rounded but with a firm structure of noble hops. Surprisingly pale in color for such a powerful, complex beer. Available year round beginning Feb. 05

Pours a very light amber, slightly cloudy, with a thick white head and leaves a lot of lacing. The armoa is a nobel hop aroma, slight malt smell. The taste is twangy with a high hop flavor, somewhat higher than you would normally see in a pilsner. The mouthfeel is bitter very bitter.

I had this beer at a party. The beer was part of a Clipper City Heavy Seas Mixer Case. In any event, this beer was decent and had some nice punch for a pilsner. That being said, if I am going to go for an imperial pilsner, I'd rather have DFH My Anotonia. This beer is still a good beer for an imperial pilsner if that is what you are looking for.

Pours a clear gold color with only a little bit of white head. Had a skunky hop aroma with some toasted malt. Interestingly strong pilsener as it is a little fuller body with a touch more of malt. Grassy with some honey. It is nice to have a beer without citrus American hops. Clean flavor and easy to drink for a 7% pils, but I'm not sure I'd call it Imperial.

Thanks to an in-person trade with bluesandbarbq... thanks, Buddy, just what the doctor ordered today. Orange/copper color when poured with a nice pillowy head and lacing o'plenty. Flavor is hoopy and grassy as one would expect and quite nice indeed. Worthy!

Nice clear yellow-golden pour with a substantial white fluffy head and tons of lacing. Grassy and citrus hops aroma with a slight floral-honey sweet nose. Taste is grassy and hoppy upfront with a nice smooth balance from malts - very nice, very refreshing. Good hops bitter and great malt backbone.

A crystalline orange-yellow colored beer. BIG sudsy white head rises above abd sticks around for awhile. The lacing eventually left behind is nice to watch. The aroma is not intense, but was a nice balance of hops, malt and spice. The body is moderate and smooth. The bubbles dance on the palate. In taste it tilts slightly toward malt, but citrus hops are there. Really good beer.

Sampled at the Royal Mile Pub in Wheaton, MD. Clear amber with a light, white head. Faint nose of light malt. Very smooth mouthfeel; light-to-medium bodied. Clean, pleasant flavors of solid fruit-sweet malt and somewhat mild hop bitterness. Crisp hop finish; well-hidden alcohol. Very drinkable.

Fairly malty with a touch of citrus, this high-gravity brew pours a beautiful golden color with an average-sized head, the citrus detectable in the nose. Coming in at 7.25 ABV, this slightly tangy/spicy brew is sure to please.

This one comes out of the tap a semi-transparent honey golden. Aroma has a nice balance of maltiness and hoppiness, but is not complex. Flavor is mouth-filling, fairly malty, with some hop bitterness and fruity hints. It goes down smoothly and leaves a pleasantly bitter hoppy aftertaste.

The more I have this the more I like it (when I first purchased it I did not know it was an Imperial Pils). Pours a golden color, perhaps darker shade of gold topped with a nice thick creamy head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy with lemons, some malts and a faint overall tang presence. Slightly bitter hoppy flavor with sweet citrus fruits mixed in and balanced by rich malts. Crisp, clean, creamy and a great hop/malt balance. Slightly sour, tart lemon aftertaste. I can find this easily, it is bold and flavorful while being refreshing and it is reasonably priced.
