I've had this one many times and find it to be a good example of the porter style. It has a good depth and a hint of chocolate without getting overpowered by it.

About average for a porter. On the thin side, slightly lacking malt...but balance is fine. One of the better ones in the variety pack that I got. First introduction from Summit. Nothing really special here, but worth the try.

Dark pour with nice fluffy head and some good lacing. Aroma is roasty and lactic. The flavor is also heavily roasted, burnt flavors. Lots of astringent bitterness. I can’t say this was very good.

This is a great porter. Great aroma with hint of caramel. Texture is thicker with a nice feel to it. taste is somewhat metallic with definite hints of coffee and caramel. Great brew. Will have again.

A nice porter, it pours a very dark brown/ black, o.k. head and decent lace. Aromas and flavors of roasted malts, and chocolate, blended very nicely, not over or underwhelming, wish I had another.

Although I've enjoyed a bottle of this occasionally in the past, I gained a new appreciation for the porter the other night when I got to enjoy a few pints from a firkin dry hopped with Golding hops. Pours a dark brown (close to black) with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and earthy hops. Full mouthfeel. Taste similar to the aroma with a slightly hoppy finish. Excellent!

light nutty roast on the first sip ... big hot coco head .. ... lacing is doing fine .. needs more dark roast, but has a crazy level of downability ... to thin to be a session because you would order ten of these and chug like the dickens .. not awfully complex or intricate but smooth and mildly enjoyable.. better than i excepted, slightly.. as i drink it i know on draft this must be awesome, and a true dream on nitro!

This beer poured with a nice dark brown body toped off by a small light brown head that left little lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma was very mild coffee, and some light smokey tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied smooth and quite drinkable. The flavor was roasted malts some light caramel, and faint smokey tones in the finish.

This as a little dark for me, i'd have it again if i had to but it's not going to be my first choice. It was dark, and had a no horribe but bad after taste to it.

This beer had a nice pour to it. And was dark and had a coffee bean smell to me. I was expecting a thicker porter. Overall its a decent beer but would undoubtebly be even better on tap.

Pours a deep black colour with a big fluffy tan head. Lots of caramel, toffee and chocolate flavors. Very rich mouthfeel. One of the nicer porters i've had recently.
