On a tap at the Mad Mex in Robinson. Dark and interesting to the eye. Foamy creamy head. Some hops in the aroma, but not excessive. Really nice lacing, covers but you can see thru it like fine lingerie. Slight taste of grapefruit rinds within. Barely any carbonation. Not bad for an ale. Finish is hops, bitter and perhaps just a little sweet on the palate.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma of malt, hops, dried fruits and caramel. A bit too sweet, but a nice dry and bitter finish. Medium body. Less hoppy than expected.

Small offwhite head, fair retention and lace. Clear amber color. Surprisingly malty brew, nose and flavor. The hops are there but play second fiddle to the malts. Dry crystal malt flavor, light toastiness. Finish is dry with a clean malt flavor. Nice pale ale. Touch more hops please!?

Rated Nov. 2006. Clear copper color with creamy off white head. Light aroma of malty caramel – like malts and a vague sense of hoppiness. Nice flavor of roasted and caramel malts then crisp pine hops for good balance. Tasty brew.

355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.4%. Deep orange to amber colour, large off-white head. Strong and pleasant sweetish aroma of malts and oranges / orange marmalade, honey, fruity hops and hints of caramel. The flavour is medium sweet and malty, notes of caramel and oranges, and a firm hoppy bitterness in the finish. Some resin in the aftertaste. Very good.

Copper pour with a nice head. Sweet smell of fruit and pine. Nice hoppy, piney bitterness that is balanced nicely with the malt flavor. A very drinkable pale ale but I wasn't as blown away with it as I thought I would be.

Can't believe I'm just now trying this one. Almost clear deep amber pour with a well-sustained white head that leaves tons of lacing. Earthy hops aroma upfront, a touch of grapefruit and pine, and generous caramel malts. Taste mimics the aroma with earthy hops first immediately followed by nice sweet caramel maltiness then a very slight bitter linger, much like an English Pale Ale. Very tasty, not a freaking hop-bomb like lots of Stones. Recommended.

Seems brit in style, but bigger. Maybe a brit pale ale on steriods? Seems a bit acrid and skunky, could be a dirty glass I guess, on tap at Green Dragon, Portland. Must have had a bad beer, my numbers and impressions reflect no one elses.

Smells fresh with some sulpher notes. Pours big and thick. Fat foam head that just won't go away. Taste like wheat, grain and malt. Where's the hops for gods sake? The finish is plain and dry. This is a straight grain brew if you like that sort of thing. Not bad at all but not what I expected for a pale ale. I think someone forgot to add the hops.
