Traditionally brewed to celebrate the harvest season, this reddish-brown lager has a rich caramel character and a long flavorful finish. Its delicious malty sweetness is nicely accented by a slighty fruity bouquet and a mild hop flavor.

Tried this about a month ago, and was one of my last Oktoberfests for the season. Only bought a single as I thought a 4-pack was a bit pricey. After sampling realized that this is good quality and you get a full pint per bottle. One of the better ones out there in this style, and one that stood out for the year. A semi-creamy texture with some good malt content. Not too sweet though...balanced with just the right amount of hops. Semi-cloudy medium brown appearance. Almost like a brown ale. I will get this next fall for sure!

Moderate flavor, decent lacing. Looks good in the glass and the head sticks around. One of the more robust regular offerings from sprecher. Can't go wrong with this one.

A cloudy amber colored beer with a big light beige frothy head. Great hang time. A thick film and ringlet were eventually left behind. Bready malt in the nose. Light earthy hops in the tasting. A bit thin in body, but refreshing enough.

A fine domestic Oktoberfest, one of several Sprecher offerings that always seem to find their way into my cellars. A hazy coppery hue topped with a dense pale tan head. Not much lacing, but who cares anyway? Sweet and malty flavor with a substantial mouthfeel and a clean, lasting finish. A great value and an enjoyable quaff. I feel no shame in keeping myself stocked with this and other Sprecher brews. It's all about the Benjamins, you know?

O' Sprecher, where art thou....what a satisfying brew from these guys. Lightly toasted malt that is nutty with a sweet roll aroma. Rich auburn color with a lot of depth. Large lasting khaki head and heavy areas of lacing. Lively, sweet and filling. This beer can be knocked back with ease. Quite a robust fest bier, very flavorful and agreeable. Initially fruity coupled by a mild yeast quality. Biscuits and nuts coupled with a spicy, floral hop flavor. Impressive is an understatement, this may be my new #1 Oktoberfest.

Thank you pfoxyjohn for this Oktoberfest excellence. Pours a clear deep amber with a nice white frothy head with ample lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet slightly toasted malts with a nice hops balance. Taste is extremely smooth with a malty base a slightly dry hops finish holding true to the best Oktoberfests; Excellent example of the style.

Crystal clear deep amber with a thin tan head. Light malt aroma, faint toffee. Full, clean and crisp mouthfeel. Soft caramel flavors, with earth and bread. Well balanced with low hop bitterness. Tasty. I'll be tapping a keg of this for Oktoberpfist 2008, along with New Glarus Edel-Pils and Dancing Man Wheat.

A very nice tasting brew. Very well balanced between hops and malts, a pleasent caramel undertone with a semi nutty finish. Pours an amber colour with a little head that leaves intriquite lacing along the glass. Since I've had a few dissapointing marzens recently. This one along with a couple others have rebounded my feelings toward oktoberfest beers.

This one poured a dark copper color with a weak head and average lacing. It had a dry malty aroma with some caramel notes. It had a dry flavor with a firm malt backbone and a mild aftertaste.

Anyone who has ever visited Milwaukee, WI knows that this is a very German influenced city. From the vaulted dining rooms of Mader's Restaurant, to Usinger's Sausage Factory, to the Sprecher Brewery, to the largest German Festival in North America. Milwaukee is teeming with German heritage. Having German roots, I really love that, every time I make a trip to Milwaukee, its feels like a trip home. Sprecher Brewing of Milwaukee, WI plays a big part in that. I absolutely LOVE this brewery, I try to visit the brewery whenever I make it to Milwaukee. Sprecher has been in business since 1985, and they brew a variety of beer styles, the majority of them being German beer styles. Octoberfest is upon us, and Sprecher Oktoberfest, a fall seasonal is here! This is another great domestic example of a great German beer style, one of my personal favorites. Sprecher Oktoberfest pours to a deep amber/chestnut color, with a good white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is quite malty. Sweet caramel, toasty, and nutty malt aromas are present with balancing hop aromatics. The palate is quite malty as well. More caramel malt flavor , more toasty notes, and nut flavors. The mouth feel is smooth and round. This beer true to style, finishs malty, but then is balanced out nicely with the proper amount of hop bitterness. A truely delicious beer, very malt accented, but with great balance. Another fantastic beer from Sprecher, a fantastic brewery. Great domestic example of Oktoberfest/marzen. Match this beer with German fare, such as roasted pork, sauerbraten, or bratwurst. It would go well with roasted chicken as well. Prost!
