Aloha from Hawaii! As the name suggests, this bold, hoppy West Coast pale ale is brewed Hawaiian style—with pineapple. We stopped at nothing to create this perfectly "imbalanced" and supremely delicious pale ale. Hawaiian Style Pale Ale is naturally carbonated, unfiltered and dry-hopped to provide a delicate carbonation and complex flavour and bouquet. Hints of caramel, honey and biscuit give way to notes of fresh citrus, zest and pine and a refreshingly tropical finish. Serving Suggestion Hawaiian Style Pale Ale should be served cool (5-10°C) from a tulip style glass. Pairings Hawaiian Style Pale Ale’s citrusy, fresh character makes it a versatile beer for food pairings. Enjoy a glass with spicy Indian and South-East Asian dishes. Pair with hearty pub fare and allow its zesty hoppiness to refresh your palate. Indulge in rich, creamy cheeses, some decadent chocolate or a thick slice of cheesecake to bring out the beer’s caramel and tropical sweetness. On its own it is dry, refreshing and perfectly quenching. Ingredients Malts: Pale Malt, Caramel 10, Caramel 45, Light Munich, Caramel Malt-Pils Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Northern Brewer Yeast: California Ale Additional: pineapple juice Water: pure water Note: Beer was originally 6.5%

Pours a very thick frothy and bubbly head that stays for a while and dissipates to a thin layer. Has a pretty cloudy golden amber appearance. Good lacing. Very strong floral and citrus hop aromas, of the cascade variety. Flavours are mainly citrus hops with lots of tangy orange and mild mango. Also a fair amount of floral hops and a bit of light spices. For a beer brewed with pineapple juice, it is very well blended as to being slightly faint. Notes of malted barley, pine, and toasty malts. Slight tingling and warming sensation. Medium bodied, dry hopped. Really good and has a nice bitterness to it.

Found this one in the singles, at the LCBO (but usually comes in a 6-pack). Pours a clean golden-amber with a big frothy and creamy off-white head. Very long lasting and loads of soapy lacing. Nice fresh cascade hop nose at first pour. The last pour delivers a bit of the fruit juice and the beer becomes very slightly hazy. Weird that it is written "Unfiltered beer. Pour gently to leave sediment at the bottom". I really don't see much, and without the bottom, I would of never had the pineapple scent. Even the taste does not give out much of the fruit. Good hop bitterness, mild dryness, with notes of citrus zest. If I had not read the description, I would of never know that pineapple juice was used in here. It is a nice West Coast Pale Ale though.

Don't know why I never got around to reviewing this ale after bumping into it everywhere the last 6 months. Have had bottled version and draft - draft was definitely better, fresher natural carbonation. Pours a cloudy honey-gold in the glass with a decent 2 finger white cap. Aroma is citrus-floral with a waft of exotic fruit (Pineapple?). The Flavour follows the profile of sturdy west coast pale - big malts slightly over balanced with citrus piney hopping but there is an undertone of fruit, I assume this is the pineapple, which nicely compliments the hop citrus. Goes to a long drying and bittering finish. Lots of flavour, approachable, satisfying pale ale. Good job!

Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small frothy white head which leaves a thick lace behind.Pineapple and orange aroma.Very tasty, breaded malts and hop flavours of grapefruit, pineapple and orange. A little thin but a good beer overall. Appearance and mouthfeel a little better on draught.

I tried this beer on draught on July 15, 2011 at "Bar Volo" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was poured a hazy orange gold colour with a white creamy head. The aroma was pineapple, citrus, and grains. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was surprisingly bitter considering the amount of pineapple in the aroma. Flavour also consisted of some grass, and citrus.
