The 2007 Anniversary Ale features prominent usage of Cascade hops– the signature hop used in Sierra Nevada’s most popular product, Pale Ale. It is an American Style IPA with a big, fragrant pine and citrus hop aroma balanced by the sweetness of two-row pale and caramel malt. It finishes with an additional Cascade dry-hopping creating a big hop aroma Sierra Nevada fans will look forward to.

350 ml bottle, version 2009. Poured a hazy red copper or dark amber orange colored ale with a two fingers slightly beige thick creamy foamy head that had a very long retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is heavy piney and resinous hops, caramel malts. The flavour is flowery, violet, fruity, citrus, grapefruit, slight toasted malts and piney hops. The balance is superb. The mouthfeel is overwehlmed by the fruity bitterness. This medium bodied ale has a lingering flowery bitter finish. A very tasting and refreshing I.P.A. I agree for celebrating the S.N. Anniversary every day!

This beer has a nice appearance it is a little cloudy and had a nice orangish gold color, the aroma was a little lacking but I tasted a hint of grass. The flavor was pretty hoppy but it left an unfavorable aftertaste that kind of ruined the beer. It was not bad but I would prefer the original pale ale to this aniversary beer.

First beer review ever! All thanks to Chopz to get me into Beer. Chopz's review will do more sense than mine since he knows what he's talking about...I still have no clue. Nice cloudy Auburn, honey color, smells hoppy, yeasty and bitter. Generous amount of hops. Good carbonation action. Bitter taste to start with followed by some sweetness. Pretty decent beer for my first review, would drink again...yums

Thanks to Lilihel for bringing this one back from her New York state trip. 2009 edition. Pours an orange colour with an off-white soapy-creamy head that has great retention and awesome lacing. There is always a nice coat over the brew. Tiny bubble active carbonation. Hoppy nose with caramel notes. Great hop in the taste with a little bitterness, but not too much (well-balanced with the caramel malt - and not really sweet). The Cascade hop taste lasts right into the aftertaste. A great easy drinking IPA that is smooth, but effective.

This is a good all-around beer. Nothing really "wows" me about this, but at the same time have no complaints. I like it better than SNPA. Recently tried their 2009 Harvest Fresh Hop, and liked that better than this but was also more $$$. Has an dark yellow-orange appearance. Aroma leans toward grapefruit. Good balance of malts and hops. Bought as a single to sample, but this is something that I would try again.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of piney and citrus hops are easily discernible. Taste is also dominated by some fresh citrus and piney hops with typical Cascade flavor with a solid malt backbone. Body is quite with limited filtration and good carbonation. Well done though sometime too much of one-thing is not that fun.

I had this one over the weekend. This should be the standard for their Pale that is the flagship. THe flavor from this IPA was just heavenly. The hoppy spice that just spoke to a refreshing experience ahead. The colr was a pale amber glow that just sang to me,"Drink." I did and was pleaseantly rewarded.I really think this is the way IPA's should taste. I wish this was the flagship of SN.

2009 - Overall, a nice hoppy, but not overly so, IPA. A very smooth drinker with no outstanding flavors surfacing. A borderline 8 rating to me, but a definate recommendation.

2009 bottle.. This is a very fresh IPA.. It is very clean and balanced. Smells of citrus and pine and earth.. Pours Deep orange with a nice white head that lasted. Classic medium body and carbonation from SN... this brewery knows how to brew pallet pleasers. Flavor was fresh wet hops almost with a fair amoutn of citrus fruit and a hint of sweetness... Fantastic beer.

I must admit that I'm into IPAs. This one is thin on flavor and body. Sierra Nevada makes some fine beers, but most are just good. This anniversary IPA falls into that catagory. Thin head good lacing. A cloudy dark orange color. With sweetness from citrus fruits. Not near hoppy enough for me. But very drinkable.
