Let me say I don't like hazel nut but this ain't to bad. Pours a very dark brown with a light tan head. The aroma is toffee, malt and hazelnut. The mouthfeel is rich and thick. The flavor is pretty complex of malt, hops and nuts.

Aromas of burnt roasts, leather, earth, and some nuttiness to it. Flavor is about the same but the flavor combination gives an almost dried dill hint to it, weird. Aftertaste is burnt, almost like smoking strong cigars before going to bed and the taste you have in your mouth the next day, not bad but not pleasant eithier.

A dark brown colored beer with a small light tan foamy head rising above. There's some hang time. Settles into a thick ringlet. Bready-nut nose and tasting. Almost sickingly so. Medium, slick body.

A beer of the month club entry for May/June 2011. Pours a nice sturdy dark color, tan head and pleasant aroma of earthy character. Nice full toasty bread flavors, with a faint nut like sweetness. Worth getting again.

Worth the try, but nothing really special here. Tasted like possibly some vanilla in there...not as hazelnutty as I thought it would be, which is OK cause I'm not a big fan of overwhelming hazel. A thinner porter, more on the medium-dark brown side versus near black appearance. Pretty much an average overall beer.

This porter is decent. It is dark brown in color with a hazelnut aroma, a rich, nutty flavor and a smooth, malty finish. The mouthfeel is tremendous and and finishes great. The flavor also is creamy and full of hops and not overpowering. Overall, this beer is awesome and very tasty and very easy to drink. It almost tastes like a creamy, nutty piece of candy.

Nutty sweet, and a little sprinkle of coffe on the finish. Dark brown colour, and the intial taste is a little malty, and then it dissipates quickly.

A dark brown brew with hints of red when held in the light. A tan head met the top of the glass and slowly faded away to a thick lace. Aroma is of malt and nuts, a hint of coffee and caramel maybe mixed in. Taste is a bitter up front with the coffee/nut flavor then going to a tad sweet from the malt and leaving a bitter dry but crisp finish. This is one (imho) of those “transitional brews to start someone on. It is good enough to drink all night but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it again.

A pretty average, but good and accessable porter. I can't say I picked up on any of the hazelnut, not in aroma nor in the mouth. Plenty dark, a nice ruby red hue with a cap of head and slight lace. Coffee and burnt aroma, hop and grain bitterness, all pretty standard and rather subdued. Not exciting, not offensive.
