Slightly bitter and slightly dry. The taste is nice but not great, feels a bit weaker than the others I have had. Nice aroma. Overall a decent brew. Will have again.

Bottle, as pictured above. Sampled during the brewery tour, and again from a mixed case. Poured slightly hazy, golden orange color, slightly off white head. Impressive retention, with nice thin strings of soapy lace. Aroma has some nice hoppiness, fruity and slightly citrus. Good smell for a pale ale, could be more if it is compared to an IPA. There is a solid toasted malt background, pretty well balanced with the bitter, piney hops. The mouthfeel is medium, with a clean bitter finish. A very drinkable pale ale.

Another average Schell beer. Compared to other APA's I've tried, this one ranks pretty low--spicy hops in the aroma and slightly bitter taste but just not fantastic.

Sampled from bottle: Pours a light copper colour with a small white head. Hints of caramel, flowers, bread and grapefruit on the nose. Taste is well carbonated, citrusy with soft piney notes in the finish. Your typical APA.

This is a very good beer to check out if you want to try a Pale Ale. It is fairly hopping so you will definitely get a good taste right off the bat. I'm usually hung up on the Porter style, but now that I've tried the Pale Ale style and I like it.....it opens up broad horizons!

Wow, I'm sampling this right now, not as good as I remembered from the last couple of times I've had this. Still not to bad of a brew, but not the best from Schells.

Small, white head. Piney and soapy aroma. Nice red, slightly cloudy color. A little malt and nuttieness. An underwhelming experience.

Amber colored with a moderate head and a citrus and spicy hop aroma. Light to medium bodied with a sweet caramel maltiness that seemed a little thin and a dull bitterness all the way through. Not bad but could be a little stale-I've had much better from this brewer.

A very average Pale Ale. I love Schells and love all there beers, however this is the one that they need to change or get rid of. Not a great beer and I have had it a number of times and just cannot get used to the taste. Stick to Lager and Bock with this brand and you will be happy.

Fine beer. Not too impressive. Good color, head, and lace, but you can get a much better pale ale for same price. Alright taste, good hop taste and lasting aftertaste.
