It pours a clear bronze color with reddish highlights and a small light tan head. The aroma is malty and heavily spiced with a big shot of orange as well. Likewise the flavor is heavily spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and orange zest over sweet doughy and bready malts. There is a hint of hops at the end that fades into the finish along with some of the spiciness. Its light to medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall it's a very tasty brew but the spices are a bit heavy and out of balance with the rest of beer. Still not bad.

Aroma is very quaint with some very slight nutmeg and cinnamon that pulse through as well as some malty gingerbread with some sweetness. Appearance is a rich, reddish to amber in color when held to the light with a medium-sized head on top that is off-white in color and diminishes to creamy lacing. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with spicy complexity as well as malty balance with a palate that is clean and wet-like and well-rounded. Flavor is malty sweet with some faint hoppy bitter with nutmeg, cinnamon, and some ginger coming through with an aftertaste that is full and tasty and has a finish that would go well with Christmas cookies. Overall, not a bad ale here and is pretty tasty and solid, decent stuff here for sure...

Pours a clear medium, brownish copper color with very slight head and litte lacing. Aroma is of cinnamon, nutmeg and light oranges are present, as well as malt. Tastes very heavy on the cinnamon and cloves, a touch of oranges and malts.

The coloring of this brew, a deep brownish-red, was really quite beautiful. There was just a tiny bit of lacing when poured. Not much of a detectable aroma and almost totally devoid of taste, though.

WTF? Man this beer pours nice but that is all. Nice red color, light tan head, thin lace. Aroma is way overdone. Too much going on for me to signal out anything. Spiced it is but a bit too much. Flavor has a small hint of sweetness up front then the train wreck happens. Again, way too much going on here. Once down the pipes a bitter dry finish was left n the mouth. Not good at all.

Saranac Winter Wassail is the 5th best beer out of the sampler....it all down hill from here people. It poured a reddish brown colored body with almost no head. The taste was lightly spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg. Overall not horrible...way to go Saranac.

Pours a copper-brown color with a thick tan head. Spicy with strong cinnamon and nutmeg notes. Somewhat woody with a sour malty taste, especially in the finish and aftertaste. It lingers a little too much for me but isn't a bad beer. Not something I want to try again though. Medium-bodied and somewhat warming.

a toffee red color and a small head on this. Light bodied with smooth bubbles. Peppery spices, with allspice and cherry wood. Also flavors of currants, sour plum. The finish is not so flavorful, a little burnt out with tastes of aluminum can.

I was a little hesitant to try this. It turned out to be a pleasent surprise.Poured a medium brown with medium head. aroma was of spice with malty overtones. The taste was milder than I would have guessed. The strongest flavor was of cininanom with nutmeg and orange thrown in. It reminded me a little of a wit. I found it an enjoyable brew.
