Created by Bruce Stott, Massachusetts. Bruce describes his classic German-style lager as "pale gold in color with a blend of Pilsner maltiness and mild hops aroma. The bitterness is just enough to balance the taste of the malt."

Nice clear golden pour.Tight bubbled two finger head that left a nice lacing.Smooth, crisp mouthfeel. definitely a good balance. Bisquity aroma.Slightly bitter finish. Overall a very nice drinkable beer. Perhaps BBC could promote it to a continuing product? Thanks Bruce.

i fully agree with the last review. not horrible, but a totally average beer in every measureable way. not quite sure how this won as there had to be much better competition.

My least favorite of the long shots. IO found it to be pretty average in every respect.

The aroma here was pretty faint, but some of the hoppiness did come through. It poured a light gold coloring with lots of carbonation and a white head.....actually very nice looking. The taste was hoppy and a little grassy-pretty average.

Poured a medium gold with white head and very active carbonation. There was a wheaty, malty aroma with just a hint of grass or citrus. The high carbonation made the beer nicely refreshing. Chicken would be a good combo. Most enjoyable in the summer.

Pours translucent gold with a ring of white. The sweet & sour malt and yeast aroma is bready with pleasant hints of grape and muscadine. Initially, the bitter hop flavor is like citrus oil floating atop a candy-sweet lager base. There's a lemony undercurrent. These juxtaposed flavors fuse into a decent brew.

First beer out of the Longshot series. Popped it open with my brother as we watched the Warriors beat the Mavericks in the 1st round!! The beer had a sweet honey-like aroma, light lemons and some biscuits. Flavor was sweet, light grassy hops, slightly spicy, and highly drinkable. Excellent job!

A clear yellow appearance with a large white head. A faint hay and lemon aroma. The flavor is rather malty and sweet with a some lemons, corn, and honey. Some bitterness in the finish. This seems to be dead on for the style. Overall a good effort and it would be good for some hot weather lawnmower sessions.

Grainy and buttery aroma. Nice golden color, stable head and lacing. Refreshing, somewhat slick mouthfeel, likely from the diacetyl. Diacteyl everywhere, not a bomb, but plenty to distract from the underlying beer, which isn't bad, grainy and touched with hops. It would have been pretty good until it all went wrong.

This is the lowest rated of the three longshots this year, but it’s the best of the three in my opinion. Gorgeous gold color, perfectly clear with a good bone-white head with great retention. The aroma is nice. Solid straw malt, a bit of hops. The flavor isn’t quite as good as the aroma, but it’s still got a nice lager maltiness. Toss in a few more hops and this becomes a pretty good German pilsner. I likes.

Poured a dark golden color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of honey, toffee, doughy malts, light citrus, and floral hops. Taste of more doughiness, with toffee, lemon, citrus, and a lightly bitter, dry, finish.
