Presentation: This is one of six beers from an eighteen pack labeled Beer of America, Historical Collection. The 18 pack also came with a nice book titled, The History of Beer in America. It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a Pilsener glass. There appears to be no freshness date on the bottle. Appearance: It has a light foamy white head that fades quickly to a thin wispy covering and then down to nothing. There is not much in the way of lacing, just a few slick spots at the top of the glass. The body has a bright golden color with very good clarity and some visible carbonation. Smell: The aroma is light and has hints of grassy hops, light husky grain and cooked vegetables. Taste/Palate: Its flavor has a fairly dry grainy, corn and husky malt taste with some grassy hops. The finish is dry with mild bitterness and acidity as well as an odd salty mineral like thing. The body is light to medium with a light easy drinking texture and light fizzy carbonation. Notes: This is nothing more than your basic American pale light colored lager. It is drinkable but boring and I have noticed that all the beers in this mixed 18 pack are oddly similar to each other. The best part of this 18 pack is the book that came with it.

This is the last of the ‘Beers of America’ from Minhas. And definitely the worse. For a minure I had to check the label to make sure I wasn’t drinking a Bud. A clear yellow colored beer. A lot of carbonation as I can see bubbles actively rising. Not much of a head. White frothy, I think, but it disappeared before I finished pouring. I smell corn. And I taste water, weak, sweet water.

Pours a medium yellow with a foamy head and some lacing. Some carbonation. Aroma is of malts, some slight hops, and a very slight soapy smell. Taste is somewhat weak.

Budweiser Clone? This is bad. Lager what? Ugh. Why did my friend give this to me to try? Does he hate me? No taste. Cough Syrup is better. Lots of potential but taste matters. Hello? Sorry about the review. I think the beer needs lots of improvement. If you matched this with the local Taps of Bud it is similar. Bud is a lager not an ale. Bud is a bad lager. I think appearance is great but all other comments are negative.

The aroma is malty and somewhat sweet with maybe some slight bitter with hints of corn flakes coming through as well as some grain and hay and maybe some straw. The appearance is a crisp, pale yellow when held to the light with a head on top that is small and diminishes quicky to bleach white lacing that coats the glass decently well. The mouthfeel is crisp and very light-bodied with not much complexity to comment on and has very little balance with a palate that is crisp but watery and does not coat well at all. The flavor is malty and somewhat sweet with an aftertaste that is crisp and I guess refreshing but very watery with a finish that is light and malty with maybe some faint hoppy bitter. Overall, the brew tastes like mass-produced swill such as Bud Light and is very light and watery but yet it is unoffensive and drinkable; I probably would drink this again in place of swill anytime, very fair stuff here in my opinion.

Pours with a golden body topped by a thin head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly bitter and hoppy wiht notes of hay and some malt. The flavor is fairly well balanced, leaning slightly towards sweet and malty. Light, smooth and a touch dry in the finish.
