I do not like redhook, all their beer is thin as hell. I need to stop giving them a chance. This is a sweet syrupy smelling beer with their typical watered down mouthfeel and very little flavor. Very thin, weak.

You see a lot, Doctor. But are you strong enough to point that high-powered perception at yourself? What about it? Why don't you - why don't you look at yourself and write down what you see? Or maybe you're afraid to.

Sampled on 9/16/2009. This amber ale pours a medium amber reddish color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, decent retention and lacing. The aroma is caramel and bready, fairly sweet. A medium bodied amber ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and citrusy. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. Solid amber, but it doesn’t do much for me. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

A good seasonal offering that I will be looking for again next year. Pours a clear copper with a thin white head. Aroma is mildly malty but opens up more as the beer warms. Taste starts malty and sweet but then the hops take over--some spice and a nice, slightly bitter finish.

Nice Orange color at pour, great foam that quickly went quickly away.Smelled and tasted like an Oktoberfest, I would have to say THIS is the best Oktoberfest style i have had.Would Recommend this beer, i would try a sixer of this over the weekend.

A reddish bodied ale. Head is moderately robust upon pour. There’s no hang time as it settles into a soapy film. The aroma is inviting enough. A little citrus, a little biscuit and a touch more hops. Well balanced. The body, though is thin and has a bit of an oily feel. The flavoring profile gives some spices with the floral hops and bittering citrus. The malt is lost in all this. Paired this one with some egg foo yong. Decent pairing.

Late harvest pours a nice deep amber body, aroma of fruits and malts is plesant enough. Mouthfeel is adequate, my complaint against it was the metallic taste on the first few sips. After the first few it went away and the roasted malts came through. I would have rated it higher if not for the metallic taste. * 10-15-10 re-rate- much better this time around split a sixer, no metallic presence this go around, from a 3.1 to 3.4

Maybe I'm rating a little harsh...there was nothing actually wrong with this beer. Pour was copper, clear and a decent head and actually nice lacing. Very faint aroma of nutty malts. Flavor was weak caramel, some nuttiness and a very mild bitterness. A bit watery, thin and weak all the way around, though. These Redhook beers are just a bit weak and underwhelming.

Pours a beautiful clear brown-orange with a nice thick head. Aroma is mostly malty, with a hint of spice and a fairly strong, but not alcohol, nip to it. Flavor is rich and zingy; both hops and malt are present, with hints of spices and a whisper of fruit. This ale goes down smooth and crisp but still has an edge to it.

Wow. What a surprise. Good refreshing beer. Light hops. Goes well with plain pizza. Flavor is hard to finger but I would say light carmel with cream.
