A decidedly rusty copper, pours a thick and frothy cream coloured head. In the nose, caramel malts meet toasty spices. Notes of chestnut here with a nice fruity component leaning towards plum. Tastes of sweet caramel, some butterscotch. A good level of biscuit graininess follows with fruit, some vanilla/rye/spices. Nice hop bite comes mid-palate and lasts. Medium/Full body, creamy with marked lasting fruity and a lingering hoppy aftertaste. 4.4 % alcohol by volume, IBU's 15.9 Food Pairings: Fajitas, Baked Ham, Fried Chicken, Steak, Lentils, Meatloaf, Monk Fish, Nuts

Part of the Iron Spike series that put Railway City on the map. The appearance is a translucent copper colour. The head is bubbly, an off-white in colour, but doesn’t last. The aroma is very malty with both grassy and biscuit malt notes present, complemented as well with some herbal hop notes and yeast. Flavour is very bland, not as caramel rich as other copper coloured ales. More like a dark coloured blonde ale.

Fresh growler: Pours a reddish-copper, clear with a good white rocky cap. Aroma: toasty, toffee, fruit esters - plumb, Light mouth to this and a wee bit thin. Toffee-caarmel, some toast, nuts and some ripe fruity in the front short finish goes a bit sweet. More sweetness than the amber ale and slightly lighter in the finish. Light, fresh and sessionable
