Pretty decent beer that smells and taste like roasted malt. The mouthfeel is only average. The taste has a very light sweet taste. Not full of Christmas beer flavor but overall a good enjoyable beer.

Pours a clear deep amber with caramel highlights and a solid small light khaki head that lingers, leaving lacing. The aroma is toffee, caramel, and bready, toasted malt and a slight nuttiness surfaces. The taste is sweet caramel malt carries the flavor, with toasted bread crust leading to a fairly dry, bitter, slightly spicy finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. There's a slight alcohol warmth.

A deep brown-mahogany colored beer with a medium sized light beige head. It disappears fairly quickly. A moderate ringlet is what is left. This is more on the malt side. Sweet, bready with some dark fruits. Medium bodied and creamy.

Beer pours amber brown with a really nice head that dissipated to nothing in record time. Aroma was sweet bready malts, as was the flavor, with caramel, fruits and a lot of brown sugar. A bit thin and watery, but not horrible.

Bottle from SL. The pour was brownish red with a thin initial off-white head, only fair retention, spotty lacing. The aroma was chocolate, light dark fruit notes, some bubblegum, and a grassy/earthy presence. The flavor followed, some chocolate, light roasty dark fruits, some hints of licorice, and a grassy, somewhat dry bready finish, yet with a malt base underneath at the same time. A nice bock for sure.

Oh yeah, nothing like an X-mas seasonal on the longest day of the year at least the temps haven't hit the 90's yet! Abundant aroma of sugary bready malt with some spices and red wine. Dark amber pour, little tan head, and no lacing. Creamy and filling, velvety and smooth as well. Flavor is exceptional especially for the style. Fermented plums and raisins combined with sweet malts and cherries. A sprinkling of roasted malt as well with a dry honey aftertaste. This seasonal was treated nice and is well blended, too bad it was merely a lone single on the bottom shelf because this is really good.

KCC 7: Saturnalia! Great label, featuring the classic woodcut of jolly Old Saint Nick. Pours red-brown, with a tan head. No lace. Smells great: chocolate, roasted malts, bread. Rich, dark chocolate and malt flavors. The palate is rich and full. Unfortunately, the bitter aftertaste leaves a horribly dry and acidic presence. Pair this seasonal bock with some holiday treats to mask the aftertaste.

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Lacing is decent. Malty aroma, flavor is slightly spicy with some sweet overtones and a bit of alcohol bite. Seems and tastes more like maybe a fall beer - this is much lighter than most yule seasonals.

This nice seasonal bock poured with a dark burgandy to brown color topped off by a smallish beige colored head that left little lace down the sides of the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with some chocolate and faint spices as well. Mouthfeel was medium bodied, drinkability is not great but how much can you really expect from a Christmas seasonal. The flavor is sweet and slightly spicy, dominant flavors are sweet roasted barley, clove, candi sugar and chocolate. All in all this is a pretty nice bock, especially since it's hometown.
