If I were a betting man, I'd place my money on an off bottle that I received. Pours a nice opaque brown color with a 1" thick lasting tan head and stringy lacing. It's medium bodied and chewy with a rich sweetness. The aroma however screamed with a metallic twang that was fairly off putting. This twang was followed by a hearty roasted malt character that is clearly intended. The sourness shows itself within the flavor as well, but not nearly as prominent as in the aroma. Lots of dark roasted malt flavors with chocolate and nuts. Tough one to rate as I'm sure it was merely an off bottle, I can see the great qualities within this porter and what is intended. Unfortunately the sour metallic twang kept interfering. Regardless I'm happy to have received it from the very generous heybeerman.

A good porter with a beige to tan head. The bottle says chewey but I don't recommend trying this with a mouthful of beer. Nice chocolately flavor but also a sour afterfinish. Reminds me of a thin hershey's chocolate syrup which reminds me of sundaes, which reminds me a I can't have chocolate, except for this.

Bottle via WI beer maphia. Dark pour w ample head. Slick, smooth and creamy with an almost lactic feel. Lots of chocolate with some roast and dark fruit as well. Dry, bittersweet finish. Very nice porter.

Very dark brown, nearly black in the glass, with a thin tan head that dissipated rapidly, but left some nice lace trails. Very strong in the nose, with a rich roasted aroma and a hint of hops. Sweet on the tongue, chocolatey, with a bit more bitterness than expected. Not that that's a bad thing, but I'm not sure it belongs in the profile of a porter ale. Tasty and worth a try.

Aroma is strong and robust. Light and mellow swirly milky way head. Color is dark like the night sky. Creamy smooth on the buds, taste a little like some coffee. I think O'so has got a good thing going.

Poured from a bottle and it was jet black with a head that only clung to the edges. The flavor was rich with black malts and a very nice toasted flavor to it. I guess the only prob I have with this beer is when I see the lable and see Night Train it takes about 68 minutes or so for the GnR song "Night Train" to exit my head. Well this this did not crash and burn, well done Oso...well done!

An opaque black with a sticky, foamy brown head. Nutty aroma of sweetened coffee and bitter chocolate. Dense creamy mouthfeel that thins slightly in the finish. Robust, smooth coffee and chocolate flavors with good hop-bitter balance.

Pours a thick brownish black colour with a full sized semi sweet tan head. Very creamy mouthfeel, light carbonation, pleasent light chocolate flavors with hints of coffee beans and caramel. Aromas are pleasent also with roasted malt and nutty character. Finishes slightly dry.
