330 ml bottle, as Mountain Crest Canadian Lager, from Mountain Crest Brewing Company, Calgary. Brewed with Canadian 2 Row Malt. ABV is 4.7%. Bought at Vaaland, Bryne. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate grassy aroma. Bland flavour, but no offensive side-notes. Some malty sweetness, very moderate hops. Won’t buy again.

i had extremely low expectations of this beer. i mean, $1.30 for a bottle of brew that brands mountain crest brewing company? i laughed as i purchased this from a beverly liquor store. so, first off, the head right off the pour was almost nothing. what was there turned to a skiff. colour is a light, diluted yellow. the smell of this surprised the s**t out of me. slightly like banana's? and smells a little sweet. taste was another shocker. actually quite drinkable. i've found a brew to drink at the end of the month a day before i get paid. thanks mountain crest?

will first off when Beercronic pawned this upon me i looked at the bottle and thought.... Sweet Jesus the hell is this "Damn Good Beer"!!! and i immediately thought swill on the highest level... but when i opened it and caught the aroma i was decently surprised... the smell of malts, banana? and slightly sweet. i w as so expecting SKUNK from this but the aroma was quite good... it pours a piss yellow with a nice white head that vanished in a hurry... some slight carbonation goin on... nothing crazy... the taste is malty and banana... i dont have a sweet freaking clue of where the banana is coming from but thats what im tasting and smelling... i guess thats what happens when you start drinking at 9am on a sunday mornin!! the mouthfeel is a tad bit then but the aftertaste is slightly hoppy, i stress slighty, you know its there but its not bold. after expecting this to be grade a swill in a bottle, i must say i was more then surprised by this beer... and i'll diffently get it again i dont know how much it cost but according to beercronic its pretty damn cheap... so bonus!!

Taking one look at the price of this stuff and you've got to figure that it is true spew - it's logo is "Damn good beer" - and you'll think "yea, right". Wrong. Crest is high quality . Foams up and dissapears in a hurry leaving zero lacing. Decent enough light amber hue - cristal clear appearance with only a few stray bubbles. It's got the familiar canadain lager smell - a bit sweet, malty - straight ahead. No skunk! Tastes the same with some hoppy bitterness. A little gassy, but not over the top. Very easy drinking, smooth feeling beer that gets the saliva flowing. Easily rivals most if not all that Molson and Labatt put out to the masses. Legions of liver abusers have already converted and it's time for the drones to see the light. How can something so amazingly low priced be so good? Who cares. This is the real thing. Hey, it'll never make me stop drinking Pilsner (cause that's genetic) but it's gonna be in my fridge next to it.
