A rich dark brew with the softness of a scotch ale combined with the malt make up of an English porter. A sensual accompianment to oysters and shellfish. Enjoy as a nightcap.

Bottle from Lubière : Poured a dark color ale with a big foamy head with good retention. Aroma is quite strong with peat and bitter roasted malt. Taste is reminiscent of a mix between a scotch ale and a porter with a nice dose of peat that mix very well with roasted bitter malt with a nice sweet touch. Body is above average and medium level of alcohol makes it a beer I could enjoy often. Very nice beer that doesn’t seem to fall under a particular style.

Poured from a bottle (that appeared to have a pic that looked as Ron Jeremy posed for it) with a very dark brown/black/red color. Nice 1/4" head. I wasn't expecting much but this is a pretty nice porter. Nice roasted malt flavor with a hint of coffee. Nice smooth beer.

I had Middle Ages Duke Of Winship on tap at the Grey Lodge. It poured a deep brownish colored body with a decent tan head. The aroma was toffee mixed with scotch. The taste was roasted, semi sweet, with a touch of chocolate. Nicely done.

Pourer Beware! Smelled like Coke (the dark brown kind), with a huge, creamy head. Very nice bitter coffe taste that tastes higher than the 6.5% as advertised. This stuff is full flavored with a somewhat addictive quality to it.

Tried this from the bottle. Deep rich color with nugget colored head. Malty aroma Full bodied taste of malt, carmel and coffee. One of the best I have had from Middle Ages.

Dark, almost opaque in color. Not much head. Aroma isn't as strong as others, but it's a good, buttery, scotch ale smell. Starts sweet, buttery, toffee. Bit of carbonation and bitterness to balance the sweetness. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer.

Dark brown body, small tan head, sweet buttery nose. Coffee flavor, some chocolate, a touch metallic, lightly bitter finish. Very nice.
