Clear amber, lacing light tan foam head. Slight hoppy aroma, some citrus detected. Nice bitter taste, light sweet. Lasting aftertaste, overrated. (Velp 201506)

500 ml capped bottle, vintage March 2011. Poured in the original Meantime stemmed tulip glass a clear mid-brown coloured Ale with a generous two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles and some big one. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, caramel, fruity, grapefruits, citrus and intensely flowery and resinous hops. The aroma is fruity, grapefruits, citrus and overwhelmed by a powerful flowery and resinous hoppy bitterness. The mouthfeel is fizzy, soft and a bit watery. This light bodied Ale has a lingering flowery hoppy bitter finish. The malty/bitter balance is remarkable. This Amber Ale could be an appropriate gift for a hops' fan.

500 ml bottle, at Olympen, Oslo. Beautiful reddish colour, large to moderate off-white head. Lovely complex aroma of American hops, notes of various fruits, hints of spices. Delightful hoppy flavour, well balanced with the malts, notes of red fruits / berries, blackcurrants and blackcurrant leaves, extremely drinkable. Great with a mutton dinner, or alone. A "school example" of English subtlety paired with American quality hops in a moderate ABV "session" ale.
