This isn’t your Dad’s amber ale (however it was Dad’s dime that got Marble City off and running…hence the name). A smooth amber ale with Pacific Northwest hops and pine-citrus notes. Jennifer made this ale with a kick of hops to appease those hop heads out there! Not overpowering... just enough to keep you coming back for more.

The second of the two Marble City brews that I had while at the tasting room in Knoxville. Clear amber, two finger sized head. Aroma is soft bread, caramel and dates. Mouthfeel was a little lighter then I usually prefer, but the biscuity flavor and semi sweet fruity notes made up for it.

On tap at Marble City's tasting room. Sipped among friends and next to a very talented Tennessee musician. A very solid amber to accentuate the mood of this fine establishment. Dark amber body with a large and lasting head providing plenty of sticky lacing. Deep caramel and earthy malt with a kiss of hops and a backdrop of very mild chocolate and nuts. Medium bodied and exceptional mouth feel. Great everyday offering.

On tap @ Bearden Beer Market and sampled several times @ Knoxville BrewFest 06/25/2011: Deep clear copper pour with a fluffy sustained white head and decent lacing. Aromas of sweet caramel malts, light fruits and more than expected hops - a dry hopped amber! Taste is caramels, then a nice hops bitter, some nuttiness, ending with a earthy hops bitter linger. Better than the first time I tried it, mellowed just a bit.
