Dark brown in color with an almost too large head. Aroma was very good - notes of toffee, bittersweet chocolate and caramel. Flavor was sweet (though I expected it to be much sweeter) and slightly sour in the front, the finish ended up with a black coffee flavor and the aftertaste was a milder version mainly on the back of the tongue.

Very dark brown color. Medium head. Aroma is chocolaty and fruity. A medium bodied stout. Roasted malts are chocolate and coffee. Mildly sweet. Nice cookie dough flavor. Well balanced. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Side note. Cool bottle cap is inscribed You Earned it.

This beer comes compliments of beerguy101 without whom I’d probably have at least 100 fewer ratings. This beer pours a brownish red color with a somewhat impressive head, tan in color at least for a sweet stout. Good lacing as well which was surprising. The aroma is mildly malty...definitely sweet with chocolate, coffee and vanilla with a hint of oak and twigs. The flavor is medium to somewhat full bodied, nice flavor development, long lasting somewhat wet finish. Heavy chocolate grains, coffee and cocoa. A dash of cherry and licorice mixed with oak chips caps off this sweet stout.... wonderful balance, light and milky texture as it warmed....a shame this company went out of business...true its only one beer I’ve tried, but it would have been nice to have tried more.
