A very slight hazed, light golden colour with a frothy white head, leaving very good lacing. Grainy malt scent with some vegetable hints that change into decent hops. The taste has the same things, but not very well-balanced. Some metallic hints. OK, but not one to have again.

Creams are hit or miss for me....this was a miss. I prefer some caramel malt mixed in with my water. Hardly any here. Nor is there any hit of a creamy or semi-creamy texture. Flavor is watery, a little grassy, with just a hint of caramel to give some mild sweetness. This single sample of single chair will be enough for me.

A bright golden colored beer with a large sudsy textured white head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. A thin ringlet is left. Earthy, grassy hops dominate the total profile. One dimensional. But still a crisp, effervescent refreshing drink.

Pours a clear bright yellow with a fairly thick, though not persistent, white head. Aroma is malty, a teeny bit fruity, not strong. Malty flavor has a hint of fruit and says a brief hello to the palate. Texture is smooth and fizzy, but just average. OK, probably best with a meal or at a party.

Another light colored brew from my Mix 6 from Vic's: Very slight hazy light yellow pour with a decent white head that leaves a good amount of drooping lacing. Clean light aromas of some grass, lemons, a touch of sweet malts. Taste is fairly tame but nicely crisp with a zing of lemongrass and light zesty hops fizz towards the ends; also a bit of a nice linger. Pretty darn good ale - pleasantly surprised and refreshed by this one.

Sampled this at MacGregors in Canandaigua, NY Poured a clear medium yellow with very active carbonation and a wonderfully clean fresh aroma. No flavors stood out stronger than anything else. This is a well balanced cream ale and my favorite of the MH offerings.

Poured a lightly hazy, golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemongrass, citrus fruits... noble hops used here. Taste of citrus fruits, toffee, some doughy malts, and low bitterness in the finish. Thanks Mike!

Sampled @ brewery. Bright gold color with a fluffy head. Aroma is malt, butterscotch and yeast. Taste is slightly hoppy but clean. Finishes strong. Nice tasting for what it is.

Magic Hat makes better beers. I sampled Single Chair in both bomber form, and on tap. I preferred it on tap. This one isn't bad, but is a little bland. It pours with a rather large head, and is a crystal clear bright golden color. Aroma brings hints of hops, but not much else. The taste doesn't bring much other than some light hops. This makes a good session beer, but doesn't do much in challenging the palate at all. Worth a try, but nothing to write home about.
