Pours a pretty clear golden amber with a substantial off-white fine-bubbled head. Crisp, malty aroma has a strong fruity-sweet tone, mainly apricot and pear, as well as a hint of powdery lemonade. Flavor is fruity, again mostly apricot and pear, with a malty undertone and a hint of hops. Texture is smooth, fizzy and a little dusty - truly unique, and pleasing.

Pours a golden, almost orange, color and has a small head, but dissipates slowly and leaves some nice lacing. The aroma has a presents a sweet smell with hints of citrus and caramel and very pleasant. The taste is not as appealing as the aroma might suggest, but still enjoyable nonetheless. Has hints of citrus hops with a mild smokey aftertaste. The mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation and has a crisp, clean finish.

Some hops in the nose, malt nose notably missing. Pours copper with minimal head, unlike most I got decent lacing, maybe because it was draught. Very thin mouth. Not a lot of flavor, really missing the malts, a bit bitter, finishes with a chemical taste (maybe the smoked malts.) Not a good oktoberfest and not really a good beer.

Nice brew from the myster 12 pack my buddy picked up. Pretty solid all the way thorugh. Big fluffy head, rich biscuity aroma. Decent amount of malt with a balanced hop mouthfeel. Love the breadiness thta makes this a solid brew.

On tap @ BBM. Nice deep ruby amber pour with a tight white head and some lacing. Big sweet malty aroma with caramel and slight hops. Taste is a bit overly sweet with a caramel malt flavor and very little hops noticeable.

Well....I got this on sale for $6.99 for a 6, and kinda liked the Magic Hat #9. Wanted to sample some different Oktoberfests this year, so figured couldn't go wrong with this for economy beer. That's about what it is, but I found it to be decent economy beer. Lacking some of the richer flavor for the style, a bit watery, but the malty flavor that is there is decent. Ok hops. Appearance a bit on the thin side too. Basically it is what it is, sorta worth the sale price IMO, but not much more. Gonna probably stick with Sammy though for my next Oktoberfest 12-pack.

Bottom line: unimpressive for an Octoberfest. Nice color when poured - deep ruby, but no head, no lacing. Malty aroma. Malt and caramel in the flavor. No outstanding qualities.

A deep reddish amber colored beer with a mediumly robust creamy textured off white head risng about. Not much hang time and no lacing. Not real intense in the nose. Some sweet malt. Caramel and roastiness in the tasting. Not bad. The body is light to medium light. Some smoothness. Nothing dominate in this beer but in that is it’s charm.
