English The Amber is brewed with a blend of pale and specialty malts which creates its distinctive colour. This medley creates a mild bitterness, making for a well-balanced, smooth and fresh beer, a specialty found nowhere else. Top-fermentation provides a complex aroma of higher alcohols and esters, making the amber round and full-bodied. Its colour and a light touch of caramel on the palette are the result of malts which are kilned – a drying process done at high temperatures. The dense, creamy head comes from naturally occurring proteins in the malts.

Draft. Colour – clear, amber, off-white head. Aroma – light caramel, bread, yeast, light citrus. Mouthfeel – thin, well carbonated. Flavour – light caramel, bread, and bitter hops, maybe even somewhat of a burnt taste. Nothing I would reach for again.

Enjoyed at Kanata location. Pours a very thin head that doesn't stay long. Has a clear amber appearance. Weak lacing. Weak hoppy and malty aromas, nothing much standing out. Flavours of earthy hops, plums, and some grains. Medium retention. Lively carbonation. Still pretty good and easy going down beer nonetheless. Almost sessionable, not too heavy.

On tap in the Ottawa brewpub, $4/pint on Tuesdays. Pours a clean deep amber with not much lacing, nor head. Fruity amber malt nose with a little sweetness. The taste also has fruity amber malt with some yeast in the finish. Not much hop compared to their Sugar Shack (also tried tonight, based on their amber). An easy-drinking amber beer with some decent amber malts and yeast.

Did this one quite some time ago but only now getting around to inputting the review. Of the 3 beers I had that day(Ironic that the place is called 3 brewers and at the time they only offered 3 brews) this was the best of the bunch. I remember it reminding me of Rickards before Molson got their hands on the recipe, or an Old Micks Ale would be an even better comparison

The beer that was put on the table appeared to be a copper coloured cream soda. There were pinkish hints to the edges of the cap. Lots of caramel malt in the aroma, a little yeast, a couple of hops, etc. Flavour was better than the aroma with a nice balance between the malt and hops, and just the right amount of caramel.

The 3 Brewers, Yonge Street (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
    592ml Draught
    6.20% ABV
    $6.49
The beer was a translucent dark cherry red with a very thin white head that hung around on the surface. The aroma was sweet malt, wheat, caramel and hops. The mouthfeel was full-bodied with medium carbonation, The flavour was sweet malt, some wheat malt, and a bitter finish. There was definitely some hefe/witbier characteristics
