Purchased at the SAQ. Pours a deep amber, almost copper colour with a frothy beige head, good retention and patchy foam lace. Aromas are quite sweet with the honey, caramel malts and some darker bread malts (rye), with spices. Eventually, dark fruits come out (raisins, plums) and this enhances the nose. Smooth silky mouthfeel. Thankfully, the taste is not as sweet. More on the roasted malt side of things. Again, bread-like with hints of spices in the finish. This is one that has to breath a bit before it becomes better. Starting to like it near the end.

Aroma is not strong but is fruity, rather sweet, with a malty undertone, and inviting. It pours a nice clear mahogany with a fluffy beige head. Mouth filling flavor is malty and fruity - mainly apple - with a bitter hoppy undertone and a hint of caramel. Texture is smooth and fairly tingly, leaving a nice fizzy and slightly fruity finish.

Bottle: Poured a deep bright amber color ale with a large enough foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spices and honey is quite wonderful – I can't say what spices are used (coriander? And something else) but the mix is very interesting. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I must admit to being quite surprised – the spice mix is wonderful and the honey smoothed out everything else.
