We brew just a few batches of our Big Easy Lager every year to celebrate Mardi Gras. Don't be fooled by this beer's light color: at about 7% alcohol by volume, it can very quickly make you the life of the party! Pours a brilliant blonde-gold with a bright white fluffy head. Malty aromas blend with German noble Hallertauer hops. The flavor is bold and malty, with a robust sweetness provided by ample amounts of Munich pale malt that continues to the clean finish. A great crowd pleaser, and a fabulous beer for Carnival, whether you're celebrating down in the French Quarter or right here with us in Milwaukee. Pairs well with Cajun, or any spicy food. A rounded hop flavor and crisp carbonation lift the spiciness of gumbo and jambalaya, while the substantial body stands up to the richness of dishes like etouffee. The sweetness can almost even pair with caramely pralines.

Had as Imperial Maibock. Pours clear amber with a frothy ivory head. Aroma is crisp and fruity with just a pinch of caramel. Flavor is quite fruity, mainly apple and pear, with a hint of cloves and a malty underpinning. Texture is on the thin side, only average fizz, but it goes down well, Mai, mai, mai, a decent beer if not a memorable one, no matter what name it has.

Syrupy and sweet this one seemed to have more of that syrup you get for shots of cappucino than the malty goodness of a maibock like Capitol's. Still it does have a good kick for getting you wasted and after a couple of pints of this I am sure you would want to get showered in beads, dress up as a baby dolls and parade down bourbon street.

An orange colored beer with a small soapy textured, white head that rises briefly above. Settles into a thin ringlet. The nose is faint, some grass. The palate is all about caramel malt. Light bodied, and good carbonation

A nice orange color, mild malty nose and big malty flavor. Not much else to say about this one. Not a bad beer and I agree with all the other reviews I'm reading on this one.

Sampled on 5/21/2010. This hellerbock pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel and bready, touch of banana and sweet. A medium bodied hellerbock. The malts are bready, caramel, fruity and sweet. I am picking up just a hint of banana. The hops are earthy. A little light in the carbonation and a touch light in the mouth. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Thanks to pfoxyjohn for this one. Pours an orangish-yellow color with a fizzy white head. Smells of sweet malts, honey and a bit of hops. Taste is similar to the smell. Quite enjoyable.

Pours a nice deep orange/ruby red color with citrical hints of grapefruit and oranges. Crispy smooth mouthfeel. Sour/sweet subtle. Tastes like a celebration in my mouth.

Yes pfoxyjohn, Let the good times roll! This one from John pours a clear gold with a nice white head leaving some lacing. Good carbonation and a heavy mouthfeel. Aromas of sweet clover honey, sweet malts and grassy hops. Taste is a little sweet and thick but nice with a honey and malts backbone and a bit of hops in the finish. A treat for Mardi Gras complete with beads for throwing...or wearing!

Laissez les bon temps roulez! Poured from the bottle a bright orange-golden color with a thin white head. Nose of light, sweet grain and a smooth mouthfeel. Sweet flavors of malt, honey, grass and fruit and a fine, warm fruity-sweet finish.

Sampled from bottle. Surprised to find this one in OKC. Pours dark gold with a thick, creamy head. This bock's aroma is light and clean as is the flavor. Light hop spice present as well as some munich malt(?) Medium-full body and well-carbonated.
