Nice cooper ale with just a bite of hops to wake your mouth. Not too bitter, with a malty sweetness that makes this a fine drink for any time. Enjoy with a meal at the brewpub or pick up a six pack for home. Cold crisp taste you will want again and again.

Dark in color with a brownish head that is thick and lasting. Citrus smell at the start with a floral hops finish. Slightly sweet but a flavor that lasts. Hoppy from start to finish.

POurs with a Reddish-orange body topped by a medium thick head wtih some lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with an odd hoppy note and an underlying touch of alcohol esters. The finish is nice and hoppy. Meidum bodied, smooth and slighlty warming.

I had the Lake Placid Frostbite Pale Ale on tap at the Grey Lodge. It poured an amber colored body with a medium size white head. Spiced, citrus, good finish. Not bad, but not great either.

04.23.05 Tap at TAP NY. Dark copper pour, clear; small tan head. Sharp hops on aroma with peppery spice. Flavor is nice malt/hop balance but punctuated by a great dry hop bite that finishes each sip and swallow. Resinous. Very similar to SNCA. I’m sorry I’ve passed this over so many times in the past.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a nice foamy white head with very good retention. Aroma of citrus hops is very dominant. Taste is also dominated by the big citrus hops with a full creamy body. A bit too one-dimensional for my liking and I would have preferred some subtle sweetness or more malt presence. Not bad nonetheless and probably one of the best beer from this brewery.
