Ruby red in color, this all malt ale is brewed from a combination of roasted barley malts and English aroma hops. Smooth in taste. The hopping is generous but not bitter and has a unique flavor that has become a trademark for Sleeman.

This one is the same as "Sleeman Original Dark" in Canada and "Sleeman Rousse" in the province of Quebec. Pours a copper-amber colour with an off-white creamy head. Decent retention and lacing. Malty nose with some light sweetness, like caramel (also fruity), and well-balanced with some mild hop. Medium-bodied with the malt and hop present in the taste as well. Nothing too punchy, but a nice refreshing macro amber overall.

A decent brew that is representative of the brewery's selection. You would think that a brewer that bought Unibroue would have better berrs...oh well. I had this beer in Pennsylvania, never seen it here in Canada. Caramel malt is the dominant theme in both the aroma and flavour, and the flavour is balanced out with metallic toines.

This was an adequate brew from Sleeman's (there are others I prefer from Sleeman's, though). The dark coloring was very nice looking. There was also a lacing that lasted quite a long time. The aroma was nice, with a hint of caramel and somewhat nutty. It is worth a try.

Poured a clear copper with mild malt aroma. The head was light and white with a flavor mix of nut and malt with a slight bitter finish. This beer did not stand out but was solid and enjoyable. Not bad paired with vegetarian mexican

The bodyis dark copper with a thin slightly off white head. The aroma is musty socks with some light pears. The taste has some light bread with a little bit of apple and some grass. There is also some raw potato. This is decently carbonated. The finish is sligtly roasted with a little bit of meat. A strange amber.
