500 ml flip top bottle. Poured a clear burgundy brown beer with a one finger slighty beige thick creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Active carbonation. Great lacing. The aroma is moderate roasted malts, notes of ripe fruits, floral hops. The flavour is robust roasted malts, toffee, chocolate, spicy, licorice and gingerbread, biscuits, floral hops. The mouthfeel is crispy and quite sweety. This medium bodied beer has a dry finish mixing roasted malts and bitterness. A tasting beer with character.

Brownish amber with a creamy white head. Butterscotchy aroma, notes of grassy hops. Toffee and white chocolate in flavour with a notes of minerals and grass in the baclgtound. Medium grassy bitterness, notes of almond.

mber colour, big creamy head which diminishes quickly, moderate hoppiness, touch of caramel, medium bitterness, dry finish - a strange brew situated between an alt and an amber ale

500 ml heavy dark green swingtop bottle, cool. Bought in Bier Spezi, Hamburg. Amber colour, large to moderate off-white head. Lovely hoppy aroma when pouring, not equally impressive in the glass. For something from Germany called "Bitterbier" I kind of expected a hoppy explosion, but the bitterness is actually very moderate. Still, some hops are around, and they are quite well balanced with the malts. Hints of caramel and a certain herbal spiciness too. Unusual style for Germany, but not really remarkable.
