Very red translucent color, as advertised, with no head but a faint cap. Very little aroma, but faintly bready. Strong malt sweetness right off the bat, even cold. Bread flavor with a mild bitter aftertaste. Woody, perhaps toasted nuts.

Beautiful red color with a great hoppy smell due to the cascade hops. A smooth malty sweetness in the beginning of the palate with a lingering hoppy finish creating a great balance and yearning for another swig.

The aroma was on the sweet side and inviting. The beer poured a nice deep red color with a thin lace. The flavor was a bit strong and somewhat bitter.

Was a deep red color, moderate head, good lacing. It had a sweet and malty flavor. I really enjoyed this one and can't wait to sample it again.

A very good brew. Reading the other posts, I suppose I got lucky. Deep amber/red color. Nice head, good lacing. Overall, I'd make the hour trip back to Hops just for this brew. Of course, while there I'd sample the rest again as well.

A decent brew, but doesn't compare favorable with either their Flying Squirrel or Aligator Ale. If you ever get a chance, order the sampler. Puts Killian's to shame, that's for sure. Worth a taste.

I became a regular at Hops for a while. This one was one of my favorites. Amber body with a fruity taste and some malt and slight traces of hops mixed in. I had it quite a few times and the level of quality varied. Perhaps you have to be in the mood for it or perhaps it isn't always brewed the same.

Amber appearance with a moderate head. Flavor is slightly malty with some citrus fruit and faint hops. A decent amber ale but nothing that outstanding. Pretty good for a chain microbrew.

A good amber ale i suppose but as with all Hop's brews a great deal of irregulatity in the beer. When done right it rocks but it seams that more often than not it sucks
