I may have let my anticipation of this brew ruin the reality. After hearing raves about it, I expected the nectar of the gods. It was average to me. Poured with little head into a golden/orangish color. Laced well. Aroma is definitely that of citrus and piney hops. Good mouthfeel, but I found the brewer's claim of having a malt backbone to be off. Just a letdown to me. I'm sure Bluez will want some more, so I'll give it another try at a later time.

The best Avery I have tried so far. Hoppy, but not too much, well balanced, nothing special in appearance, but the other catagories make up for it. Highly recommended even if you aren't a hop head.

I love the bottle as well. Nice color to the beer with little head. Aroma and flavor, like I told Pk, was just like kandy korn which I love, malty and sugary. Please reclassify this beer. Say no to Abbey. I loved it, but it's not an abbey.

Aroma - peppery. Appearance - Light yellow with a medium white head. Flavor - Sweet and spicy, reminding me of holiday desserts. I've never had a spiced beer I actually liked until this one. Usually they overdo it, but this one was actually quite good.

Aroma was sweet, floral, hoppy. Appearance was a golden orange color with a very thin white head. Good hoppy flavor. I was actually surprised that it was an okay beer.
