The beer is a Belgian style Saison-a powerful yet delicate ale with a distinctive spicy fruitiness and bright golden color. Brewed with a unique blend of Belgian yeast and candi sugar. Red Sky at night is an ideal full-flavored summer refresher. Clipper City will produce only a small batch, so availabilty is extremely limited. ABV: 8.25% Malts: Pils, Carapils, and Wheat Hops: Magnum and Styrian Goldings

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5
Pours a light amber color with a small head that immediately dissipates and becomes just a patch of surface foam with zero lacing. The aroma is sweet and musty, like overly fermented honey. The taste is fruity with a bit of wheat that's overpowered by alcohol and syrupy sweetness. Some malt but not enough to balance. Unlike any saison I've had. The mouthfeel is sticky and stinging and has low carbonation.

A golden colored beer with a disappointingly small, soapy textured white head. There's no hang time. But a moderate ringlet is left behind. Fragrant aroma. Spict, fruity on the tongue. Light-medium. Overall not bad.

Aroma of over-ripe apples and yeast, with a one-finger head and decent lacing. Full-bodied, with a flavor of fermented apples, yeast, slightly bitter hops and an alchohol burn.

Slightly hazy yellow-amber pour with a slight head and some lacing. Fruity - bananas, oranges & lemons, grapes - in the aroma with sweet wet wheat, lemongrass, slight funk. Taste is slightly sweet with a ripe fruitiness, some slight yeasts, a touch of pepper and spices, and a touch of alcohol bite in the end. Nice on a hot April day.

From a bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is typical for a saison, banana and clove, but very light. Flavor is also light. Sweeter than other saisons I've had. Not too impressed with this one.

song playing = "Wounded Bird" The Black Crows...Pours Sushine Yellow with little head. Aroma Is very strong of belgian love. Smells a lot like Blood oranges. Mouthfeel is a bit stingy but carbonation is light and refreshing. Flavor is is Bright(young. There is a pices That I can't puy my tastebuds to has a little sweet malt and a warming backend. But it has plenty of candy sugar taste... Great Beer!!!

Golden colored. White medium sized head. Sweet, malty and light hoppy aroma. Flavor is light sour and malty and ends up in a quickly diminishing fruitsweetness.

Aroma is peppery and spicy with some notes of brown sugar and caramel as well as some sweetness but it isn't cloying with maybe some ripened fruit overtones like very ripe bananas. Appearance is a cloudy, golden yellow in color with a medium-sized head on top that is bleach-white in color and remains and is very carbonated. Mouthfeel is surprisingly light-bodied with some pleasant sweet complexity as well as peppery balance with a palate that is a bit too thin for the style. Flavor is of candy sugar, Belgian yeast, some mustiness and faint sharp spice with an aftertaste that is thin and almost watery with a finish that is smooth, refreshing and dangerously light with maybe some faint cloves on the very back end. Overall, this beer grows on me as I sip it but it does seem a bit to simplistic given the style and there is no alcohol noticeable but overall I am happy with this offering and look forward to the rest of the sixer; I may age one as well...recommended.

Unripe banana funk makes up much of the aroma. This pours a clear pale gold with a moderate head. Mellow mouthfeel. This is almost wheaty in the flavor and aroma.
