Harbor City Mile Rock Amber Ale is a pretty good beer, it kind of has this rootbeer flavor to it, very subtle hint of that, which made the beer enjoyable.

Having grown up in Port Washington, Harbor City has a special meaning to me. This poured a nice dark gold color with a nice 1" head. It had a nice balance of hops and malt which gave it a nice smooth and mild quality.

This beer poured nicely in a typical amber colour with a modest sized white head. Aroma was of light biscuity malts and subtle hops. Flavor was decent, soft caramel but finishes a little weak nonetheless.

Medium amber color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and carmely. A medium bodied amber. Malts are carmely and slightly sweet. Hops are spicy, and the spiciness fades rather quickly. Fairly standard American Amber. Drinkable, but very average. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Good, not great. Enjoyable, but didn't grab my attention and elicit anything spectacular. Still good though.
