Very near World Class. What a fabulous dark/black beer with a great name. Fabulous! Watch the ABV--it'll grab you by the feet and rip them out from under you if you're not looking!

I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. Terrific color, explosive head, and wonderful aroma. Chicory and coffee tastes. Very drinkable especially in the dead of winter. A couple of these on a cold night is perfect. Definitely another outstanding offering from DFH!

An amazing beer. Was expecting more of the Tripple Bock taste, but was pleasantly surprised. Very drinkable (although I shared a bottle with two other people) with this year's release coming in at 24% ABV! Will definately drink again!

Perhaps I'm being a bit hard on this beer--because I like the brewer--but I'm disappointed in how weak it is. I was expecting a much thicker, darker color and body. Not there--could see all the way through this amber-colored ale. Had just recently drank McEwans Scotch Ale and was hoping for something more along these lines. Not at all. Decent taste, but thin and light. Do not get this if you want a full-bodied McEwans type of ale.

Very interesting beer. Agree with most of what Flashpro has to say about the taste. Very crispy intense head that almost immediately disipated and set the tone for a long sipping night. This beer is really good if you know what you're going to be drinking. Choose a cold night, get some good sausage and cheese, be prepared for a sweet/strong/alcohol tasting beer/cognac/port and let it do its magic. Had this year's relase--no added age--just the normal 11 months they age before release.
