Sorry to ask us to put up a description so here it is. At the end of the 19th century, Munich took great pleasure in two new beaming additions to the city: the golden Angel of Peace and the first lager beer speciality, Münchner Gold. Still brewed by us to this day according to the age-old recipe, this slightly stronger beer is a mature masterpiece and delights with its enticing malty aroma and its slightly stronger original wort. Color pale, golden-yellow Flavours balanced Bitterness balanced Alcohol 5,5 % vol Calorific values 46 kcal / 100 ml Choice hops Hallertauer Tradition, Hallertauer Herkules Premium malt Marthe, Grace and Catamaran barley varieties Perfect with: Our Münchner Gold is particularly tasty as an accompaniment to traditional Bavarian snacks with bread, salad, sliced meats and typical cheese specialities such as Obatzda (Camembert spread) and blue-veined cheese. We also recommend it with fish, seafood and juicy roast chicken. Decent mouth slightly watery very short finish. I know it can't be but this tastes like corn to me. Christian Moulton and some very lightly bittering hops, it's like a better Budweiser. NOW A REVIEW Hell nose of malt and grass. We are medium gold body not much lasting to the head and no lace. Maybe it's just not my cup of pee.

500 ml swingtop bottle, as Hacker Pschorr Münchner Gold, from Seven Cellars. ABV is 5.5%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of sweetish malts and floral hops, hints of grass and honey. Malty and moderately sweet flavour, a hint of honey again, moderate herbal hops in the finish.

Pours clear bland yellow with a nice eggshell head. Aroma features crisp malt, funky hops and a fruit hint. Flavor brings crisp clean malt, a hint of apple, a hint of resiny hops. Texture produces fair body and fizz. Fine for a party.

First time trying this brewery. Lighter daytime beer, good for settling into my camping environment. Reminds me of a pilsner....grassy, light malt/hop flavors. Nothing to rave about, decent though.

It pours a bright yellow-golden with a thick white head and some remaining lacing. An aroma of barley malts, light hops, lemon-citrus, hominy, and light spice. The mouthfeel is thin and a bit watery. Flavors of barley malts, hops, lemon-citrus, some bitterness and spiciness. Somewhat weak and skunky, but a good drinking beer.

Average brew, bit of skunk, sweet malts, simple and medium bodied. Like most Hackner brews, it is of a high quality with no flaws, but nothing that would make me want to come back.

Seen in every liquor store in Ontario for the last 6 months or so, this is not a bad beer. Clear and gold, typical for German beers in my opinion. The aroma is cereal malt, and some hops. Flavour was refreshing. Quite malty up front, with citrusy tones coming through in the finsh.

Purchased at the LCBO with a best before end: 03/11. Pours a clean pale golden-yellow colour with a white frothy head that stays a bit longer than average, but leaves hardly anything. The bubbles are bigger than average as well. Nice clean grassy pils scent at first pour, but then, turns malty with a touch of honey. Notes of lemon are also present. Medium-thin bodied with a light oily texture, but a mild dry finish. The taste is light, with some grass, lemon zest and malt. Overall refreshingly decent for this summer heat, but nothing too exciting (even compared to other Euro lagers).

The beer poured a transparent medium gold colour with a thin white head and mild effervescence. The aroma was grainy malt, grass, and floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, crisp, and medium carbonated. The flavour is grainy, grassy, with a bitter finish. Clean, but unimaginitive. -

Bottle: Poured a clean gold color lager with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with clean notes of cereal is refreshing. Taste is also dominated by grainy cereal with dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad overall too a bit too grainy for my own taste. A bit one-dimensional and not that refreshing – I will stick with weizen.
