Deep golden, medium bodied & nicely bitter, Hopyard Pale is exceptional in the West Coast style. Generous hopping in the boil & further dry-hopping produce a fruity/floral aroma & refreshingly bitter finish. A true thirst-quencher! Malts: 2-row Pale, Crystal. Hops: Nugget, Amarillo, Cascade, Cascade(Dry-Hopping).

The beer poured a translucent reddish-gold colour with a slight haze and a generous white head. The aroma was citrus, pine, and grass. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was citrusy hops, weak grapefruit, and a slight sweetness. Very enjoyable.

Single bottle from the brewery in Halifax. Pours a clean light-amber colour with not much carbonation, but the head is beautiful, creamy, frothy, long lasting and with some soapy lace. Nice fresh hop nose at first pour, but then grain comes out with some caramel notes. The taste is milder with a little grass and some nice bitterness getting stronger in the finish. Cereal grain lingers mildly. Not a bad Pale Ale.

The beer reminded me somewhat of Black Oak's IPA at least in taste. A 2 1/2 finger cap gives way to a very cloudy reddish brown colour. Now this is how a beer should look. I'm in love! A very piney nose gives way to a very clean and smooth body. Hopheads will not be dissapointed

bottle: Decants a hazed orangey-amber ale with a 2 finger creamy cap that lasts. Moderate carbonation, Great lacing. Medium bodied, fruity floral character, chewy mouth feel. Front side has good balance between amerillo hops and crystal malt,....mid palate some complexity of malt blend plus fruity tastes (pear/apricot) ....long drying bittering finish, goes clean ant has a bite. Nothing unique bur a good boiler plate US styled micro pale...possibly a tad dryer....well made, flavourful, drinks well.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light bitter hops with lightly sweet caramel malt. Taste is also a nice enough mix between some caramel malt with light residual sugar and some bitter hops at the end. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Not bad but nothing spectacular.
