How big a bummer was Prohibition? As if taking everyone’s brew away wasn’t bad enough, hundreds of little independent breweries that once made super tasty beers basically got worked. And when they went out of business, America not only lost the breweries – it lost what American beer used to taste like. Session is our way of bringing back the pre-Prohibition American Lager. It’s an all-malt Continental Pilsner brewed with American and European hops, so it’s flavorful, refreshing, and has a touch of that import-style taste. (Which, once upon a time, you didn’t have to buy an “import” to get.) Oh, and it comes in a stubby, 11-oz bottle like your grandpa used to buy. Which seemed appropriate since he was invented back before Prohibition, too. So after your next session (surf, jam, gab, whatever), crack open a Session and drink to the good old new days.

Not much nose, some grass. Pours lager-like clear pale gold body with minimal head that has good retention and no lace. Mouth is fairly creamy, with a medium body. Flavor as pale as its body. Nothing at all going on but nothing really bad either. NOT complex, pale malts and pale hops. I guess its sessionable just like water is.

From my Mix 6 at a freaking Marathon gas station in Ohio. Straw yellow color, short white head, little detectable lacing. First whiff smelled like my dad's Falstaff beer from 1971 - grassy, light skunk, then almost corny sweet, lemongrass. That's how it tasted too.

Pours a crystal clear straw yellow with no head what so ever. Fairly carbonated, lots of little bubbles. Aroma reminds me of freshly kneaded dough. Taste is very light with hints of malts and some herbal notes. Taste actually stays with you for a while after you swallow. Not bad and is easily sessionable.

Like with the session black, my issue with this beer is the price for what you get. Although tasty enough, I can get many better craft beers for the same price (and get an extra ounce of beer per bottle).

I had this at the brewey in Hood River last weekend. Clear gold color with good white head and lacing. Slightly grassy hop aroma with bready malt. Has a nice body for a session beer. Pretty smooth without being gross. All quality here with a simple, clean malt flavor. Very good for an every day drink.

Not really a fan of lagers. Hard to find a "premium lager" that I enjoy. This was mostly a miss for me. The flavor is ok, just could use a bit mor hops....and a little undercarbonated. Wanted to try sumtin from Full Sail as i started noticing them distributed here in FL. Was only a buck twenty-five and needed a summer beer after a hot day. Prolly wont get again though.

A dull yellowish colored beer. Small whote foamy texted head, with not much hang time. Settled though into a fairly decent lacing. The nose is nearly undetectable. Some grassiness. Medium to full bodied, a big surprise for this style. Big creaminess on the palate. That is this beer’s high point. Sweet light malt flavoring. Some grassy hops.

It’s a light gold beer with a nice but quickly dissolving head. The nose is not very strong but doesn’t smell off at all. It’s a clean smelling and clean tasting beer. There is some sweetness and some acerbic bite from the flavor and the carbonation. I like the carbonation. It’s probably even more drinkable than I’m giving it credit, but the aftertaste is not entirely pleasing. All in all, a pretty good beer for some casual drinking and a fun little bottle.

Old classic-styled lager obviously. The aroma, the flavor, and everything else is just about that. I bought them cause they're alright and I'm on a budget. Also, you can appreciate the fact that this is solo classic style brewed in the sole purpose of imitating its classic lager recipe, and it's good to enjoy also.

This comes out of he bottle a clear golden amber with a little bit of a white head. Aroma is strong and rather yeasty, and has a decided fruity undertone. Satisfying flavor is malty and yeasty, and subtly fruity, mainly apple. Texture is smooth and tingly, about average but pleasing.
