A hugely popular spiced ale that has built up a loyal following over the past seven years. The Pumpkin Ale is moderately bodied, crisp, and smooth to the mouth. The pumpkin flavor is faint, not overdone, which allows the spices to add to the complexity of the overall taste. A blend of special hops balances the sweetness to maintain real beer characteristics- not too sweet and very drinkable! Medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival, the 2000 World Beer Cup, and US Beer Tasting Championships prove our Pumpkin really is a special treat!

Aroma is strong but not overwhelming, pumpkin and with strong spice overtones, like clove. Color is a nice dark reddish amber.Flavor is smooth with a solid pumpkin overtone and spicy hints, best of the pumpkin beers I have tried.

Via direct shipment from TN. As soon as that cap comes off, the aroma of pumpkin pie fills the air. Stunning! A blast of cinnamon and ginger in the aroma, alongside burnt crust. the flavor is straight pumpkin mash...straight from the can, that is, not a ton of sugar added. Then the spices settle in...ginger, allspice, the usual suspects. Some hints of caramel. I can still smell the crust after it goes down the gullet. A real treat of a pumpkin beer. All these pumpkin beers can only mean one thing...the coffee shop will start selling eggnog lattes soon! Big ups to Bluesandbarbq!

On tap @ Barley's Taproom in KnoxVegas. Pours a slightly hazy orange/amber with a thin head and decent lacing. Big pumpkin aromas with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, a bit of banana and slight malts. Taste has some ripe banana and is like slightly sweet liquid pumpkin pie. Very well done, very tasty, and I will have more!

Smells like real pumkin pie! Slightly darker than yer typical pale lager, more orangish. Sweet but not overly sweet. Tastes like pumpkin with beer. This pumpkin taste is more like pumpkins compared to all the other pumpkin beers I’ve tasted. Good tingly carbonation. Not bad, considering I don’t like pumpkin beers. An easy beer to like. Other pumpkin brewers should check out this recipe. Does the word pumpkin, good justice. Slight off bitter linger but this beer is overall enjoyable and I liked the experience.

Aroma is strong but not overwhelming, rather pumpkin-like and with strong spice overtones, particularly cloves. Color is a nice dark reddish amber; head is off-white and fairly thick but does not persist. Flavor is smooth and malty with a solid pumpkin overtone and spicy hints, so it is almost like drinking a liquid pumpkin pie. Perfect for the holidays.

I loved this beer so much that I got it for my home Keg system. It is smooth, clean and has a very inviting Aroma. One of my favorite fall seasonal, and worth a try if you like pumpkin beers.

Poured a nice dark orange with little head. Aroma was spices, pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves. Tastes pretty good, spices and its well carbonated. I think this is the best Pumpkin Ale I've had.

A nice deep blood orange is the color of this brew. It is topped of with an off white head. Decent retention, fading to a thin but sticky lace. Aroma is malt and spices. Nutmeg and cinnamon come to mind. Not overpowering but, more complementing the brew. It is not a slap in the face type of aroma. Ah yes, there is a hint of pumpkin in the middle of the malt and spices. The flavor starts with a nice malt flavor. It is not to sweet from the spices but rather nicely balanced between the malt and spices. As this goes across the tongue, hints of the pumpkin come into play. What I thought was nice about this beer was the flavor after the swallow. It seems to me that is where a nice balance of spices are. There is no watery after taste like in some brews. Drinkablilty is very good. There is enough going on in this beer not to get an overload of the senesces but enough to enjoy. Mouthfeel is smooth and not sticky.

I wasn't expecting good, but I was impressed. Great balance of pumpkin, spice and the malt. Came across tasting a lot like a good pumpkin pie without getting too heavy, sweet or thick.

Bottle: Poured a orangey color ale with a medium head that disappeared way too fast. Aroma is clearly dominated by some cinnamon. Taste is quite particular with a mix of cinnamon, what I think is pumpkins and some nice malt. Very warm feeling after a couple of sip, which I did, enjoyed during a cold winter night. Overall, considering this is my first pumpkin beer, I was enough enamoured that I wouldn’t mind trying some other ones.
