Pours a nice clear tawny with a fairly thick buff head. Malty aroma is not strong but still invites a sip. Strong, malty flavor has hoppy, hay and subtle fruity notes. Firm texture has a sharp, edgy fizz and leaves a hoppy and resiny-bitter finish. Let this one swim down your throat.

Not the greatest red ale in the world, yet having trouble finding anything wrong with this beer. The aroma isn't quite there, and could maybe use a little more hops. Besides that, it's solid all-around for this style. Not as clean or hoppy as some of the West Coast reds. Would still rather have a good Lagunitas Red or Red/IPA hybrid. For Jersey and East Coast though, this is good beer. Flying Fish is starting to become one of my staples now!

A murky amber colored beer with a big sudsy textured, offwhite head rising above. There's some hang time. Settles into a low lyng film and thick ringlet. Citric hops dances out dominately in the nose. And it comes out in the tasting with floral hops as well. Crisp and refreshing.
